  1. Hi @Simon Clark This is a comprehensive website and I've given you the link to Notts/ players, but you can navigate around to get loads of info. I use the website a lot. Hope it's what you are looking for. https://www.11v11.com/teams/notts-county/tab/players/
  2. Looks like the Saudis are involved in the takeover of another Premier League Club, they already have Newcastle, now they are involved in a £400 million attempted take over of Everton. When are the PL or the government going to stop PL clubs being basically taken over by Countries. It is simply ruining our beautiful game.
  3. @Wheelbarrow repair man I get your concerns and they are well grounded and I'm sure other supporters are asking the same questions. I'm pleased for Macca that he was chosen to be captain and it appears Macca is thrilled about it too. His appointment has also pleased quite a lot of supporters too because they believe, like I do, that he has committed to the club for another year at least. If that is the case, and it appears to be, that's great for the club. I personally believe that Matt Palmer would have been the best option, because as you said, Macca needs to concentrate 100% on his job of scoring goals. As you touched on, I think the club wanted to reward him financially for the extra responsibility, it has made the vast amount of supporters happy, and it may see a surge in season ticket sales too I don't think it will stop the offers coming in for him, but Notts have made it clear that he won't be going anywhere just yet. By the way, ref our two similar threads, just modify the heading of your thread if you want. You did have concerns about Macca as Captain. If you ever want to delete a thread just message a moderator.
  4. @Wheelbarrow repair man I agree with having a cap but £10 million on transfers & £15K a week maximum would be too small I think. Some players in league two are getting more than £10K per week especially Wrexham, Stockport Mansfield & MK Dons. I believe some of the players at Notts are quite high too. For League 1 & the Championship the Cap for both those leagues would have to be higher.than League 2, otherwise, as of now, the PL clubs would cream off the best players. By what you have said, it looks as if you still envisage relegation from the PL & promotion from the Championship to remain. That's why I would prefer the top six to eight clubs in the PL leave and join a European Super League, then get rid of the PL and have EFL Championship 1 & 2, and League 1 & 2. We can agree to disagree on those two things????
  5. @Wheelbarrow repair man What about the idea of letting the PL go it's own way, but at the same time, invite a number of PL clubs to join the EFL? Those Clubs would have to agree to new financial capping rules to prevent a handful of clubs becoming rich and powerful. I still believe capping clubs to an agreed amount regarding wages and transfer fees could make the leagues much more competitive. Another benefit of capping would discourage foreign Countries buying top PL clubs.
  6. As far as Notts is concerned, Macaulay isn't going anywhere next season. And, looks like Macaulay wants to stay too. That's massive for the team & the fans. Hope that news gives season ticket sales a big boost.
  7. This is great news & Matt Palmer has been appointed Vice Captain.
  8. Your Weather for Monday 10 th June
