Another thing too @KB1862 the Spurs players must have been affected by the fact that their fans had openly said on the media, (who in fact had been pushing this narrative), that they wanted their Spurs team to lose, and the strange atmosphere at the match would have been so disconcerting for the Spurs team too. The players and their Manager cannot be happy with this situation, and we've probably not heard the end of it.

Any fan that would want their team to lose because it would mean their local rival wouldn't win the league are frankly being childish and damn right stupid as far as I'm concerned. And to want City to win who are facing 115 charges of breaking FFP rules is just unforgivable. How could you ever look at your own team and not feel absolute shame for wanting them to lose when your team has a chance of qualifying for the Champions league? It's totally unbelievable.

It's only natural that PON will have a bit of a lull in the Football off season but we do have the summer sports like Cricket, Tennis and the Olympics are to be held soon in Paris, so hopefully there will still be plenty of people visiting the site and some contribution from members too. Might be a good time to update or start a blog too.

There are so many interesting opinions on PON, either recently posted or older posts. I try to read quite a few posts from the past if I have time.

@KB1862 I think we have to come back to the dreaded FFP rules again here I don't think those teams can compete on a fair basis, because of those unfair FFP rules. There has not been a bigger example of that unfairness than what we have seen this season with these three teams, who basically have had everything stacked against them financially.

How did the Old Trafford Ground pass it's safety certificate with a large amount of water falling on seats from a height like that?

@KB1862 Put it another way. Last seasons penalty shootout in the National League playoff final. For statistical purposes the match up till the end of extra time is regarded as a draw between Notts and Chesterfield ending 2:2 I agree it is bizarre that the penalty shootout is regarded separately.

I do hope that Notts will recruit midfield players who have tenacity, a great work rate, can run all day, don't mind defending and getting those tackles in when required. And are good ballers too.
