I'd like to see Martin give Dennis a start for this match even if it means Jatta on the bench. I would also like Platt to come back into the back three for Ness. It would be nice to see Griffiths having an opportunity between the sticks & Kouhyar making a start on the left. Notts need to show some grit and determination in this one. Even if they have to draw or win ugly so be it. They also need to cut out the mistakes at the back. A clean sheet would be very welcome. At this point I would applaud a 0:0 draw. We were promised more physically at the start of the season but we are still being bullied somewhat by these physical sides. Notts simply have to start holding their own against these sides to have any chance of getting success this season.

Just a routine day for both of us today. Help Mrs R do some house cleaning & watching some of the news. Particularly shocking is the news about the massive fire in Hong Kong which is affecting several High rise apartment buildings. They are talking about 2000 apartments may be affected. The first reports 36 killed & 279 missing.

I think that Notts have to improve the communication. Having to rely on an opponent for a B Team match report is a poor show. I've tried to find out what the Notts line up was but it's still not available on the website except the score. I think it's important to know what the team sheet was for the match, & to be able to read a brief match report from a Notts perspective.

I think that you have made an important point here. Players were brought in during the summer & we were told that they were more physical & could hold their own against those strong uncompromising teams in League 2. But we now find ourselves with 8 out of the 10 outfield players from last season now playing in Martin's first 11. The problems that we saw towards the end of last season is showing itself once again. The January window is going to be more important than ever to ensure that the club recruits players with the mentality to deal with the pressure & hold their own against those tough & physical sides.
