Chris & Alex Reedtz: Five Years In Charge
I don’t want this to be taken in a way that people will think I am ungrateful, but the best things that Chris and Alex Reedtz have done are off the pitch. All the projects off it are nothing more than a bonus, but a welcomed one at that. Structuring Notts to be successful has been their main goal, with improving player recruitment and making sure the club progresses on the pitch. It’s not all been plain sailing, but we have seen a continuous level of progression. In football, you want to see your club adapting like this. Too slowly, you risk not seeing your hard work pay off, but too quickly can lead to instability. As a business model, I would rather have Notts’ approach under the Reedtz than any club that feels they can force their way into the top leagues by spending money alone.

The Notts County Squad 2024/25
I’m hoping for a striker, another attacking midfielder, and possibly another winger to join our ranks. The recent standard has been a bit lacklustre, and I believe a couple of quality signings could boost my confidence. I’m not too worried about our defence; I think we’ll be solid once the season kicks off. However, I do have some reservations about Robbie Cundy; he needs time to acclimatise.

John Bostock joins Solihull Moors
John Bostock is a fantastic signing, a player of real quality who should feature prominently for Solihull Moors. They didn’t perform to their potential last season and needed someone like Bostock to steady the ship. I hope he thrives there.

Notts County Academy Watch.
Our academy’s level becomes apparent when they face bigger teams. This might be why the club is hesitant to give our young players more serious roles, but individuals can flourish in a good side. Losing to Derby’s U18s isn’t a disaster; they’ve produced some excellent talent. All we can do is encourage them to keep going and wish them well for the upcoming season.

Guess Who? The Notts County Edition
I’m more than happy to join in with this. It sounds like a fun community activity, so count me in! The changes to the guessing rules should make it fairer for those who can’t be online as much as others. This should make it easier to have a friendly competition.

Match Discussion: PSF - The Minstermen (A)
It’s a friendly match, so I’m not too bothered about who plays. I just want the players to get some game time so they’re ready for the upcoming season. With league games slowly approaching, it’s important to ensure most of the squad is at the right level. The result isn’t a concern for me, but I do hope the lads put in a good performance.

Junior Morias to Dagenham & Redbridge on loan.
It’s such a missed opportunity. He looked good in the pre-season, but it makes me think that changes are on the way and the club might have identified another striker. It’s a shame for Junior Morias. Despite his small size, he was lightning quick and always made a nuisance of himself. I don’t think many fans can really criticise him based on the number of appearances he made for us, as he always got involved when given the chance.

The future of my YouTube channel
While I don’t know you personally, I’ve read your content on x.com and watched your vlogs on YouTube. It was clear that Notts’ relegation weighed heavily on you, and during our time out of the EFL, it seemed to take a toll. Supporting any club is a rollercoaster ride, and your deep involvement is evident. My advice would be not to make any decisions without careful thought, and to focus on your feelings. The responses here show how highly regarded you are. Sometimes we put unnecessary pressure on ourselves, and it’s easy to get sidetracked by social media. Please prioritise your wellbeing. Mental health is crucial, and while your vlogs bring joy, they shouldn’t come at the expense of your happiness. I agree with others; your fans won’t mind, and if any do, that’s their problem. Anyone with sense would understand that committing to a season of editing, recording, and putting yourself out there is a long-term commitment, especially when you’re facing challenges. Look after yourself first and foremost, take time to review, and avoid making hasty decisions.

Match Discussion: PSF - The Reds (A)
@menzinho If the future of Macaulay Langstaff remains uncertain, we can expect a larger turnout of fans. They’ll be eager to see if he plays at all. His absence could pose a challenge for the team. Some fans might react negatively during the friendly match. Identifying trialists is always an enjoyable activity. The current media team tends to name them, which quickly brings the players into the spotlight. The game is primarily about fitness and observing how the players interact with each other. Hopefully, we’ll have a successful run and steer clear of any injuries.

Pride of Nottingham: Update June 2024
It’s all very encouraging to read about, I believe PON will go from strength to strength. It’s firmly rooted in a love for the club, and that passion really says a lot. The aim is to get sensible fans involved and interacting. There’s already a broad presence, which is quite impressive. I’m eager to lend a hand with the structure and organisation of the site. Volunteering for something that’s important and you’re passionate about can make a world of difference.

Match Discussion: Game 42 - The Dons (H)
The team must function as a unit. We launch attacks collectively, but our defence is often disorganised. It’s simple to pinpoint errors, but there’s a lack of quick reaction to prevent the recurring mistakes that Notts commit. MK Dons wouldn’t have been close to a point had there been more awareness in the game. I heard numerous complaints about the defence that led to their first goal, but it was an excellent piece of play. I believe we allow too much space behind the ball, with players content to leave the defending to those ahead of the ball, which is part of the problem we encounter. However, there was nothing that the goalkeeper could have done about it and defensively, you have to accept these types of goals. The second goal for MK Dons was a bit unfortunate due to the deflection and bounce of the ball. However, there was a lack of defending and their third goal was extremely straightforward considering their player was clean through. Notts should show resilience in getting back into the game.

Sven's last stand
I didn’t realise that Sven was a Liverpool supporter. Out of all the teams he could have managed, Liverpool didn’t come to mind. It’s lovely to see such an uplifting story that brings a smile to someone who has contributed so much to football. It would be truly special if all of his former clubs united to honour his memory.
-
Match Discussion: Game 39 - The 'Owd Reds (A)
I’m hoping there won’t be many alterations to the team. Despite the loss, they put up a good fight and until Scott Robertson was sent off against Crawley, the game seemed to be in our favour. Sam Slocombe has proven his worth in the team, standing out with some crucial saves. Will Charlie Colkett get a chance? We haven’t seen much of him during his loan period here. I agree that Sam Austin has been excellent since joining the side. Most of the team picks itself, so I guess one of the current issues is the lack of robust replacements in certain areas.
-
Match Discussion: Game 30 - The Bluebirds (H)
Barrow appeared strong when they were able to create opportunities or control the game. I don’t blame them for their hard work as each player contributed significantly, showcasing their potential. Regrettably, we also saw the less appealing side of their game when they began to lose control. Their players became very aggressive and argumentative, often crowding around the referee. This behaviour doesn’t reflect well on a Football League club. However, when they focused on playing football, they were impressive. I thought Notts should have pushed harder for a second goal.

Notts County Provides Comprehensive Injury Update on Players
It’s heartening to hear that all the players are making steady progress. We must remember that their return will depend on their readiness, and this can change. Seeing them back in the gym and on the pitch will be a more significant indicator of their recovery. Some might not reach this stage until the season’s end, but that’s okay. Despite the uncertainties, it’s reassuring that the medical staff have addressed this.
-
James Sanderson
It’s wonderful to see a young lad given an opportunity and then a professional contract. That’s exactly what we, as fans, want to see. The ball is now in James Sanderson’s court. I hope he seizes any opportunities that come his way. He appears to be a unique talent.

A Stuart Maynard Notts Team? A Tactical Analysis.
It seems highly likely that there won’t be much change. We might alter formations during games, but it appears that the starting approach will be what we’re familiar with. This makes sense as it provides Notts with ample space to advance. I just hope we limit the number of times we attempt to play out from the back. It’s not productive when nerves kick in and teams capitalise on this. I’m confident that Stuart Maynard will improve things defensively.

Jim O'Brien Discusses Notts County's Preparations for Top-of-the-Table Clash with Stockport County
The main point is that we had someone like Jim O’Brien who could step in when needed. We can trust him, even though some fans think he should retire and say things about him that aren’t needed. It’s good for the club to have someone like him who’s willing to do whatever it takes. This article really shows what kind of person Jim is. It’s not about him, it’s about the club. He’s not picking his friends, he’s doing what he thinks is best for Notts County. That’s something to admire.

Match Discussion: Game 29 - The Hatters (H)
I’d rather see Richard Brindley start ahead of Connell Rawlinson, but apart from that, I think the lineup looks good. I have no problem with the team Jim O’Brien chose for the match against Grimsby Town. As the match is at home, Notts should perform better defensively. Even though Stockport County could be tougher than Mansfield Town, I believe Notts will step up to the challenge and deliver a strong performance. Regardless of the outcome, I expect the match to be closely contested. We should have beaten them at their ground.
