  2. Hello, welcome to the Pride of Nottingham @daverobinson222. We look forward to seeing you on the site.
  3. The Carlisle game wasn’t the first time he’s saved us; he’s been doing it in most away games. He’s such a calm presence at the back and pulls off some unbelievably good saves. I think he’s been one of the best signings this summer, definitely in the top three. By the end of the season, that could change, and he might even be my top choice. Alex Bass is a great addition to the club, and it’s fantastic to have a keeper like him, who should only keep getting better.
  4. He’s a good player, technically skilled in areas where we really need that ability. Crossing, reading the game, pressing to win the ball back, and finding the net are all great qualities of Sam Austin. I think people are always looking for better, but we need a player just like him, someone who works hard and takes his chances to start. I believe he’d do well if we make it to League One. As he gets more time on the ball, he’ll be able to influence the game and show his creativity.
  5. Hello @Jackie May. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, it's a site well worth your time and visits.
  6. You need players to come in and step up when needed, and Kellan Gordon has impressed me. Early on, he didn’t get any game time, but that didn’t stop him from working hard. The way he speaks shows he’s a quality player, with his priorities in order, and you can see his focus on wanting to succeed. He was a good player for Crawley, so he’s a good signing for us, and being from Burton, he’s not far from here.
  7. Alex Bass deserves the Man of the Match award for last night’s performance. He was commanding in the box, especially with all the crosses Carlisle put in. That late save he made was top-notch, but his overall game management was just as impressive. The way he organises the defence and communicates with the players around him makes a huge difference.
  8. I thought very few of our players could say they performed well. It wasn’t like Notts to give the ball away so easily or not attack as a composed team. In my opinion, only three players deserve to be in the running for this. One was taken off when he was becoming more of a threat, another is listed, but I chose the player I believe deserves it most.

  16. I do agree with your sentiment, but I would say it depends on who said it, despite their pedigree, as some players will back their manager. I don’t think David McGoldrick would vouch for someone if he didn’t agree, but clubs can get players to falsely validate their managers. We experienced this to some extent with Jamie Fullarton. Although it wasn’t a “current player,” someone advised Les Bradd to speak highly of Fullarton, and I don’t believe any of it is true. I feel he did it with good intent, to try to help him, but whoever encouraged it was largely misguided, and it hasn’t aged well. Notts County: Jamie Fullarton has similar approach to Jimmy Sirrel WWW.BBC.CO.UK Notts County legend Les Bradd says manager Jamie Fullarton reminds him of the club's greatest ever boss Jimmy Sirrel.
  17. I am very sorry to read such sad news. I am not familiar with American Pie, but I am sure he is well thought of across our community. Such an outpouring suggests so. Please let him know we are thinking of him.
  18. Lucas Ness is a very exciting prospect. If we had signed him earlier, during the pre-season, I believe many fans would have been thrilled to see him join Notts. The depth and quality we have in defence might make some overlook his arrival, but his potential is very promising. We have to hope that a player like Ness can settle in and rediscover what worked for him at Charlton, especially in a new squad. That isn’t always easy, but the transition will come in time. I’m delighted that Ness is now a Notts player.
