  1. I agree with the teams that you have listed as teams we need to look out for. We urgently need to start moving on the signing of players, I think we need some experienced players along with some players that are a bit tougher and savvy, that can flirt with a bit of rule breaking, antagonise opponents and are willing to approach the ref when required, other teams in the division all seem to have these sorts of players, and so, although, not the ways Notts have previously played, I do feel we need to bring an element of this into our team and game.
  2. It's all very concerning, no manager, no Didzy, as stated, our best player and we need players with experience but we always seem to get rid of them. I hope the new recruitment guy is good, we are going to need him to be. I also hope the absence of a named manager is not impacting on any potential incoming player negotiations, as I expect new signings would like to know who they are playing for. Personally I think Notts should have paid to keep McGoldrick for his ability and his experience around the younger players as as O"Brien and Bostock before him. As it stands now, the season ahead is already feeling like I challenge.
  3. I didn't think Sam Austin would be leaving us.
  4. I think it was a yellow, the shirt was being pulled off his back and was getting pulled further and further away from the ball, so the game should have been stopped there. In first look it does look a bit over enthusiastic, he does will the ball pretty clearly though. If you look at some of the slow motion replays, he starts off 2 footed but before he reaches the players, his left foot, touches the pitch, studs down, ok it may have bounced back up again but the contact with the floor would have taken the sting out the left foot. The right foot won't the ball, so for me the tackle was a yellow. What happened after, maybe a red as you can't push people upright or laying down, but if it was a yellow, none of that wouls have happened. There also seemed to be a lot of Wimbledon players getting involved around the ref, holding other county players and obviously play acting, maybe there should have been some more yellow cards.
  5. Yes would definitely offer him another contract due to what he brings on the pitch and the touches that can turn a game but also the experience and advice he can provide off the pitch. I think we lost a lot of that when both Jim O'brien and John Bostock left, I think the value of this to younger and inexperienced players is invaluable.
  6. @Robbie I again, pretty much agree with what you have said, but I'd fit enough still prefer to go with McDonald over Macari. What about starting with McGoldrick and trying to get ahead early and get the job done and then bring him off? And hopefully not end up chasing the game.
  7. Totally agree with your thoughts and pretty much the line up but at this current time I think I still prefer McDonald over Macari and perhaps keep in Whittaker over Grant just because in recent games even if he has not done much, he seems to be able to still pull out a goal, and then put Grant on the bench instead of Edwards, who has not been great of late.
  8. I am concerned about Richard Montague leaving and hope we have someone in place ready for summer signings abd do feel we seem very light on coaching staff. As much as I hate to say it and although not making much of an impact for MK, I do feel we miss Dan Crowley and our down turn in performance probably since January does seem to coincide with his departure.
  9. Yes I agree with you all, Matty Palmer is a great midfielder with the ability to get his foot on the ball and spread the ball around and keep play moving although I do wish and not just of Palmer but the midfield in general, that we could mix it up a bit and try to sometimes play balls through the channels to players or to run on to or play the odd ball over the top for the forwards to run on to rather than always going out to the wings.
  10. I think I thought he was much better than I thought to start with, not to say he is bad but perhaps give a little too much space, does get out paced and can be slower to react and gets caught out by a yard or two and then it's difficult to recover from. But I am sure these are all things that experience will bring.
  11. This is my line up, not heard if Jones or McGoldrick are available. I prefer McDonald at the back over Johnson myself from current defensive options. Not sure whether Gordon should start over Jarvis, Gordon gets some good crosses in but Jarvis has shown some potential and perhaps needs to build confidence. I think we will perform better than the last few games, we have to and the team are aware of this to. I think 2 -0 to Notts!
  12. Maybe we should when required or needed, give our academy players a try, Mahovo could have previously been a partial solution to our then dodgy defence, so perhaps if required with our current defensive injury list, we should try recent academy signing, Theo, if needs be. Just to give him a go and know if he is potentially suitable for us, prior to selling him on in the future and discovering afterwards, that players were better than we perhaps thought they were.
  13. Sam Austin...he seems to have played everywhere else! ๐Ÿ˜„
  14. The emergency striker may have to be Junior Morias now that he is back off loan.
  15. Is this a good thing? Is it not worrying that we have lost two members of the coaching staff mid season and the impact it may have on performance going forward?
  16. Yes good news, who knows, if we get promoted, Spurs may agree to let him stay a little longer in league 1, with different challenges and further career progression and development.
  17. Yes good luck to him, I hope he manages to get a permanent deal, for a longer period of time soon.
  18. Some new guys, with Johnson in defence due to current injuries and give Jarvis a go. Some returning from injuries, such as Edwards or maybe Jones here, more central and maybe Tsaroulla or Mrtin on the left?
  19. Very disappointed that he would leave for another league 2 team. Therefore it seems like it must be for the money, as currently we look more likely to be promoted than The Dons.
  20. Yes, I think he should stay, as others have said, he now seems to have settled in a bit and picked up some form in recent games.
  21. Very sad to see him go. I was hoping he would stay and fight for a first team place and try to prove himself. That being said, I wish him all the best at Carlisle and hope he can perhaps help to keep them in league 2.
  22. Maybe after the subdued performance against Salford and lack of creativity, we should have brought Ryley back to playing for the first team. When he has played for us, he has shown drive, speed and creativity, which we seem to be currently lacking.
  23. There has been mention of looking at the Irish league and non-league players but out of interest how do the Scottish league levels compare to the English divisions? And could there be any players of interest north of the border?
  24. Yes I am sure we will have enough up from to get by crewe with a mixture of McGoldrick, Brown and Scott. Not sure if we have seen Brown and Scott play together, with Brown's passing and assisting efforts it could be a good opportunity for Scott, along with the build in confidence from his goal against Leicester.
  25. Yes, welcome to Josh. I don't know that much about him but I think I remember seeing him on the EFL highlights programme last season for Portsmouth, which must be a good thing, he must have done something good to be on the highlights programme, I'm guessing?
