Morning all, it’s a horrible start to the day here it’s lagging it down with icy rain, I think I’ll stop in bed a bit longer. My weight loss is going well, I’ve lost the weight I put on whilst on holiday and a bit more beside. I’m the lowest weight I’ve been since just before Christmas. I’ve also been a week with no booze which helps, another 4 weeks to go before I can have a drink. I’ve found a nice alternative non alcoholic drink, we bought some Ginger cordial from Morrisons and added it to tonic water, a couple of ice cubes and a slice of lemon and it’s lovely.

Good morning and Happy Valentines Day to those who are celebrating, special thoughts for those whose loved ones are no longer around. We stopped buying cards, presents etc., years ago but it doesn’t mean we don’t love each other any more, it’s Valentine’s Day every day here, we don’t need a special day. In March we’ll have been married 50 years and I wouldn’t change a thing. So what are all you lovey dovey people doing to celebrate today?

A disappointing result for sure but I thought we played ok especially in the first half, I think a draw would have been a fair result, we didn’t take our chances and “if ya dinne score, you canna win” or whatever it was Jimmy said all those years ago. We’ll lose the 2nd spot on Saturday but hopefully we can bounce back on Tuesday.

It’s no coincidence that since Platt, Bedau, Bass and others have joined the Notts ranks that our defensive record has dramatically improved, this is a big Pat on the back for our recruitment team, things are really good at Notts at the moment and long May it continue.

Morning all (just). It seems a bit brighter today I haven’t been out yet but hopefully the brightness will bring a bit of warmth. I’ve been watching some window people putting new windows in a house opposite, it’s quite fascinating how they do it, they’ve done a good job too by the looks of it. My favourite pastime is watching other people work.
