Morning all, a cloudy start, hopefully the sun will get his hat on later. I see @Piethagoram is on his travels around Europe, enjoy yourself. We watched the film “Darkest Hour” last night, a film largely about Churchill and his struggles as our army was stranded on the beach at Dunkirk and it looked like defeat and invasion was imminent, it seemed an apt film for the Anniversary of VE Day which is today, it reminded me how lucky we are to be living in this era of peaceful times (for Britain at least.) I can’t imagine the horrors our parents went through during those times.

I wouldn’t be against him returning in some capacity, he says he hasn’t got an ego and would be willing to take anything just to get back in football, I’m sure the brothers are aware of his current position and if they thought he could help the club they’d approach him, I don’t think he left on bad terms, he was ambitious and there’s nothing wrong with that.

I’m really surprised to read your thought @Chris I genuinely thought Abbott had an excellent game, to me he seemed to be performing far better than any other player. It just goes to show how different people view the same match. At the end of the day it doesn’t matter who was man of the match because we lost the game sadly.

Good afternoon/evening depending on when you’re reading this. My cold and sore throat has turned into full blown man flu so I’m feeling a bit sorry for myself. We are sitting with the grandkids at the moment while their mum and dad are out, they’ve gone to see Harry Hill, I hope they aren’t too late I need to go to bed. Hopefully everyone else is ok and looking forward to the playoffs, it’s not over yet we could still do it.
