Kevin Nolan slams "arrogant" ref in Notts County, Wycombe Wanderers draw
I do think that in this instance KN was justified in his criticism, however I think he goes too far in his protests, he ought to calm down a bit, getting sent to the stands doesnβt help the team, they need him on the touch line. Then again I suppose weβd be complaining if he stood docile and wasnβt passionate at least it shows he cares.

Match Discussion: Game 39 - The Spireites (A)
I am worried about this one, we never seem to be able to put in a good performance in front of the TV cameras, plus I used to work in Chesterfield and am still in contact with some ex colleagues who are spireite fans, they will give me grief if we lose. I might have to turn my phone off.

Kevin Nolan questions why Notts County have given Mansfield Town so many tickets for League Two derby
I find it amazing that they sell more tickets for this game than they do for some of their home games. It shows what it means to their fans and how important it is, I think this is communicated to their players which is why they seem to put in a super human effort when they come here, they always seem to be up for it more than our players. Hopefully that changes tomorrow,

Match Discussion: Game 38 - The Stags (H)
Mansfailed have become a bit of a bogey team for us in the last few years I really hope that this game will be a turning point and the see saw starts to tip the other way. I do think we stand a better chance since Evans departed. They have drawn two since he left so hopefully a bit of doubt is starting to creep into the players minds. Heart says win. Head says draw at best.

Match Discussion: Game 37 - Green Devils (A)
My prediction: We will be winning 1-0, Noble will come on as sub in the second half and get sent off with ten minutes to go, Showumni will be replaced by Smith to try and preserve the lead, with our backs to the wall FG throw everything at us and we succumb to an injury time goal, two points lost, Twitter goes into meltdown, Noble becomes the new public enemy No.1 thus taking the heat off Collin for a while.
- Kevin Nolan: 'Ross Fitzsimons involved in car accident'

Notts Alumni: Phil Turner
Turner was our βCaptain Fantasticβ a real leader on the pitch who inspired all around him. I remember he used to take corners and as he put the ball down he used to get the crowd going by doing a winding motion with his arm, as if to say βcome on pump up the volumeβ, a great player.

Joe Jones: Adam Collin should be wary of getting too cocky
I think the delay in releasing the ball must be an instruction from the management team or surely they would tell him to get rid ASAP. It must be really difficult to hear all the criticism especially when the team win with a clean sheet but I believe heβs best served keeping stum, youβve got to have a thick skin sometimes if you are a footballer.

Match Discussion: Game 35 - The Boro (H)
No it wasn't a great match but 3 points were very welcome, we need to up our performance against Mansfield though because they are in good form at the moment and will be up for it. I wish the fans wouldn't be so quick to get on Collin's back, I really don't think it will help his game to hear the criticism at the match. I thought Jorge when he came on looked really back to something like his best, it seemed to give the whole team a lift.

Match Report: Notts County back on track with victory over Stevenage
We didn't play well especially in the first 70 minutes of the match, I though Grant coming on changed the game, it seemed to spark the team into playing better, in the end a win is a win, at this stage of the season it doesn't matter so much about the performance but 3 points were vital and we got them. I hope this gives us a bit of confidence, the Mansfield game will be massive.

Little changes make a big difference
Hi Chris I know I don't come on here much but this blog prompted me to want to reply, I hope you don't mind. Since my son died I have read a lot about depression and mental health and have come to the conclusion that a good therapy is to talk openly about it, as you have done before and are doing here. I don't profess to understand your feelings and anxieties because thankfully I don't suffer but I do think it is good to talk to family, friends and even publicly about how you are feeling, in that way people can give you support. My son had thousands of on line friends, hundreds of off line friends and a loving family but he didn't open up, if he had done things might be different. You've got lots of good friends and a wonderful family network who I know support you and are proud of all you do. If you are being harrassed by online friends, just block them or unfriend them, don't suffer it, don't engage with them they aren't worth the trouble. Sorry to go on but I just wanted to have my say, I hope it helps and I hope you don't mind me adding my thoughts. Take care, Tony.

Izale McLeod: 'I can still get 20 goals and help Notts County to play-offs'
I'm gutted he's injured, I'm sure he'd have been busting a gut to score against Crawley. Oh well, lets hope we can win without him.

League Two News: 15 January 2016
Sounds like a quite a few clubs are strengthening their squads in the transfer market, I wonder when/if Notts will be making any signings. Thanks for the article @Joe Jones

Dougie Freedman "fearful" of Notts County following Jamie Fullarton appointment
It's interesting that he speaks several languages that might come in handy with our foreign legion.

Notts County CEO compares Jamie Fullarton to Brendan Rodgers
I guess the proof of the pudding will be in the eating, Winter is obviously bulling up the appointment with all the right words let's hope for our sakes and the sake of the club he's right.

Alan Smith 'to discuss future at Notts County with new manager'
I understand that he is one of the lowest paid players and is great to have around the dressing room but playing wise he's getting too old I think.
-
Liam Noble 'attracting interest from Portsmouth and Cambridge United'
I can forgive his disciplinary lapses, give him another contract Notts.
-
'We should have stuck with Shaun Derry'
Nice article but it always makes me smile when every manager that comes in all the fans agree we need stability but as soon as things go wrong those same fans are calling for the managers head.

Izale McLeod bags brace as Notts County labour to Morecambe draw
Izale had a very good game, I was pleased for him, he seems to be finding his scoring boots, long may it continue. It was unpleasant when Notts went 2 down and the crowd started booing and moaning at every pass that went wrong, I don't know why some people call themselves supporters as they don't support when the team needs them.
