Match Discussion: League Two - Swindon Town (A)
That’s a great 3 points against promotion rivals, it doesn’t get better than that. The team is really clicking and MP is getting his tactics and substitutions spot on. If we keep up this momentum it could be a great year. The only downside was the fact that Palmer has a hamstring injury and was unavailable, I hope it’s not too serious.

Weekly Chat Monday 26th January to Sunday 1st February
Good morning, except it isn’t really very good here in fact we have torrential rain, it’s absolutely awful. At least it isn’t the snow that you’re getting in Germany @DangerousSausage . I hope your new budgie Eddy settles in and proves to be a suitable replacement for poor Lenny. In other news our son now has two days to go before completing his charity bike ride across Cambodia, he’s got a very sore bum but it’s all worth it as he’s raised nearly £7,000 for a very good cause. He’s been to the killing fields of Cambodia where the Khmer Rouge executed a quarter of their own population, about 3 million people. He said it really upset him to see the place and hear first hand what happened to those poor people. Here he is at a temple.

New Signing Harald Nilsen Tangen
According to Radio Nottingham Sport Notts have had talks with Reuben Rodrigues but it won’t happen in this window. Maybe Harald was next down the list.

New Signing Harald Nilsen Tangen
https://www.nottscountyfc.co.uk/news/2026/january/26/signing--harald-tangen/ Attacking midfielder Harald Nilsen Tangen has joined us from Sarpsborg 08. The 25-year-old Norwegian, who has made 130 appearances in his native top flight, arrives on an initial loan which could be made permanent this summer. Director of Football Richard Montague said: “Harald has lots of exciting qualities. “He’s very strong technically with an excellent first touch, an eye for a pass, quick feet and a rapid change of direction which allows him to get out of tight spaces and carry the ball into dangerous areas. “Harald is also very hard-working in the press and he’s been an important player for both Sarpsborg and Viking FF at the top level of Norwegian football. “It’s great to add him to the list of talented players we already have in the attacking midfield position.” Born in Stavanger, Tangen is a product of Viking FK’s academy and, having shown his promise in a handful of first-team appearances both at Viking and out on loan in the second tier, enjoyed his breakthrough season in 2021 as he scored five goals in 27 Eliteserien appearances. Tangan, who won Norway youth caps up to Under 20s level, remained a mainstay in Viking’s side over the next two-and-a-half seasons before signing a long-term contract with Sarpsborg in August 2024. He'll wear squad number 27.

@Michael D Pie. It’s Costa Teguise this time we’ve done Puerto del Carmen before but we find CT a little quieter. A bit like Mablethorpe compared to Skeggy. 😂

Weekly Chat Monday 26th January to Sunday 1st February
Good morning, it’s a dull one again, it’s forecast to be dry but overcast and cold all day here, however this time next week I’ll be basking in the sun with temperatures in the 20s or 70s for you luddites. 😂 Yes I’m off on holiday again flying to Lanzarote on Friday for a week of sun and sea. The count down is on so this week will be all about making sure we’ve got everything, checking lists etc. Have a great day everyone.

I too was surprised Norburn wasn’t subbed, I was dreading him getting another yellow.

Weekly Chat Monday 19th to Sunday 25th January
Good morning it’s a dreary, cloudy, drizzly start to the day here. A bit differnt to yesterdays sunshine which was very pleasant as I walked to the match on the embankment along the Trent, although it was very cold. For those who like me have been a bit concerned about @Chris and his absence from PoN I can report that I saw him yesterday at the match, he was in the kop and I could see him from my seat in the Pavis stand although I didn’t get to talk to him he looked well, I’m glad to say.

Who's your Man of the Match v Crewe?
There were some very good performances today, Jatta had a particularly good first half he not only scored the goal but his hold up play and all round game was excellent. Platt headed every ball in the box, Norburn was solid in midfield but I do agree with @theAnticlough that Iorpenda just shaded it, he seemed to be all over the pitch and excellent performance from the young man.

Forward, Lee Ndlovu to Notts
He was introduced at half time which came as a surprise to me because I hadn’t seen the news. I just hope he’s here to bolster the forward line and not as a replacement for either of the front two.

Match Discussion: League Two - Crewe Alexandra (A)
Notts could and should have had 4 or five goals in this game, Dennis missed two excellent chances at the death. I did wonder if the one goal would be enough and if we’d get caught by the sucker punch at the end but in all honesty I don’t think Belshaw had a shot to save so we got three deserved points and that’s all that matters.
