  1. Slocombe 6 - Reassured us fans when he came and collected crosses and just making sure things didn't untangle in defence Kelly-Evans 5 - Many times in the first half his passes to Boldewijn were poor. Looked a little off the pace as he's just come back from injury Rawlinson 7 - Another solid performance. Becoming better with the ball at his feet Turner 6 - Relatively ok but sometimes would peel off his man. Thankfully, Rawlinson won everything McCrory 5 - Frustrating. Can tell he's only just come back from injury but everytime he got the ball in an advanced position, he went back Shields 8 - Superb. Constantly got down the wing. The Belper player who was marking him was shattered just after the hour mark because Sean had done him everytime. Bags of energy and pace. Getting better Doyle 6 - Lost his man for the goal but improved afterwards and took control and made tackles when needed Booty 7 - Class act. Defence splitting ball to Wootton for the goal. Some good interplay with other teammates. Will be a key player this season Boldewijn 7 - Scored a brilliant goal which he is capable of. Helped us get on the front foot. Made life difficult constantly for Belper Wootton 7 - A good goal. Hit the bar. A decent afternoon Dennis 6 - Should have had two goals. Intelligent runs but surprisingly for Denno, lacking the finish Subs Thomas 5 - Should have scored a 3rd for Notts Tyson 5 - Good to see him back from injury but then cleared the ball for Belper and then karate kicked one of their players
  2. Brentford 2-1 Millwall Charlton Athletic 2-2 Derby County Rotherham United 1-1 Oxford United Fleetwood Town 2-1 Burton Albion Doncaster Rovers 1-1 Bristol Rovers Northampton Town 1-2 Salford City Grimsby Town 1-1 Leyton Orient (Joker) Crewe Alexandra 2-1 Swindon Town
  3. Slocombe 7 - Not much to do but reliable when called up as usual. Good save from the free kick soon after we went 1-0 up Brindley 8 - That goal Rawlinson 8 - He's been fantastic and an integral part of our unbeaten run. Play a long ball forward and he'll just head it Turner 7 - Believe it was him who made a crucial clearance off the line and marked Jamie Reid out the game Bakayogo 7 - Very good attacking and defending. Settled down last few games Shields 7 - Best game in a Notts shirt. Bag of energy, constant threat. Assist for the 2nd goal Rose 6 - Struggled a little in the first half but grew into the game more as it went on. Doyle 7 - Marshalled the midfield superbly, constantly winning back the ball. Funny moment where he completely fooled the ref into thinking Reid had fouled him Boldewijn 6 - Work rate has improved. Starting to become better in winning the ball back when the opposition get it Wootton 6 - Brings others into play. Has the odd bad first touch but he's a really important player for us. If he continues this, get him on a permanent Dennis 7 - Another goal. Makes good runs and closes the opposition down well Subs Kelly-Evans 6 - Comfortable when he came on despite not playing in his natural position Booty 5 - Saw out the job Thomas 5 - Same as Regan
  4. As if two of the three national league fixtures on this round of prediction league have been postponed
  5. One I missed a few weeks ago Bromley: Michael Klass - Southend United (CM) - Loan October 4th-11th AFC Fylde: Sam Hornby - Bradford City (GK) - Loan, Andy Taylor - Free Agent (LB) - Free Dover Athletic: Roberto Ratti - Lugano FC (ST) - Free Ebbsfleet United: Albie Morgan - Charlton Athletic (CM) - Loan Solihull Moors: Jake Beesley - Salford City (ST) - Loan Stockport County: Devante Rodney - Salford City (ST) - Loan, Tom Walker - Salford City (LM) - Loan, Tyler Garratt - Doncaster Rovers (LB) - Free Yeovil Town: Chris Dagnall - Tranmere Rovers (ST) - Free
  6. Oxford United 1-1 Doncaster Rovers (Joker) Rochdale 2-2 Accrington Stanley Leyton Orient 2-0 Walsall Swindon Town 2-1 Plymouth Argyle Exeter City 1-1 Forest Green Rovers AFC Fylde 2-1 Sutton United Stockport County 1-1 Dagenham & Redbridge Barnet 1-1 Woking
  7. Easily Dover's best player. Commanding, steady and solid
  8. Slocombe 8 - Distribution good and made two excellent saves Brindley 6 - Bit asleep in the first half. Got slightly better in the 2nd Rawlinson 6 - Did well coping with Inih Effiong. May have been at fault for the 2nd goal Turner 6 - As with Connell, dealt well with Effiong and passes the ball well. Sometimes caught napping Bakayogo 7 - Got well down the left. Defended strongly Osborne 6 - Did ok first half. Got better as the half went on. Substituted second Rose 6 - Penalty tucked away nicely. Works hard but too many times he goes back with the ball Booty 7 - Always looks for that forward pass. Was our best hope of unlocking the Dover defence. Comfortable in possession Boldewijn 7 - Ran forward with the ball and bought the play into Dover's half. A constant threat. Thomas 5 - He gets into good positions but should have had two goals. His miss in the second half is embarrassing. If he could finish he'd be in League One Wootton 5 - Worked hard and bought the ball down well in the first half. Second half largely ineffective Subs Shields 6 - Bag of energy. Constantly trying to make an impact on the game. Played well Dennis 7 - Wasn't a great performance when he came on, then the 88th minute arrived. Scenes
  9. September 27th-October 4th Aldershot Town: Mohamed Bettamer - Barnet (ST) - Free Boreham Wood: Nathan Ashmore - Ebbsfleet United (GK) - Loan Bromley: Ryan Huddart - Boreham Wood (GK) - Undisclosed Ebbsfleet United: Josh Payne - Crawley Town (CM) - Loan Harrogate Town: Matt Taylor - Oxford United (LB) - Free Solihull Moors: James Ball - Ebbsfleet United (CM) - Undisclosed
  10. West Bromwich Albion 1-1 Cardiff City Queens Park Rangers 2-1 Blackburn Rovers Wycombe Wanderers 2-2 Peterborough United Gillingham 2-1 Southend United Walsall 2-0 Salford City (Joker) Crewe Alexandra 1-1 Exeter City Sutton United 1-1 Stockport County Chorley 2-1 Aldershot Town
  11. Slocombe 7 - Made two important saves that kept Notts ahead Brindley 6 - Had some moments of letting his man get the better of him but overall nothing too shabby Rawlinson 6 - Didn't stand out but was alright McCrory 8 - Good in possession, solid defensively, on the scoresheet. Bakayogo 7 - Thought he defended well. Made a crucial clearance from a cross and headed away when danger looked apparent Osborne 7 - Turns and drives at the opposition. Guy has no fear and just keeps running forward making opportunities out of nothing. Booty 6 - Good work rate. With a little more nurturing you've got yourself a top player. Rose 6 - Has moments where he's poor but then suddenly becomes Ronaldinho. Boldewijn 5 - That slide tackle was great. Apart from that, don't remember him receiving the ball much Wootton 7 - Holds the ball up ok although his first touch is dodgy sometimes. Gives us that option of going long when we need to. Started his Notts career well Thomas 7 - Stunning finish. Finally got the goal his continuous effort deserved Subs Shields 5 - Did what was needed when came on. Sometimes got us going on the counter. Superb quiff Bird 6 - Provided the option of the third centre-back and added steel and steadiness to the team when the midfield was being overrun Dennis 5 - A goal threat if you get it in the right area for him. Didn't see much of the ball when he came on as we were defending for most of the second half. Makes intelligent runs Ardley made a really good tactical switch today. He saw we were being overrun in midfield and so sent on Bird and went 3-5-2. It stopped the Fylde express and we became more solid and saw out the game
  12. September 20th-27th Chorley: Nortei Nortey - Free Agent (CM) - Free Solihull Moors: Gavin Gunning - Billericay Town (CB/CM) Stockport County: Adam Hammill - Scunthorpe United (W) - Loan Woking: Christ Tiehi - Free Agent (CM) - Free Yeovil Town: Adam Smith - Forest Green Rovers (GK) - Loan

  14. One I missed a while ago Ebbsfleet United: Jordan Holmes - AFC Bournemouth (GK) - Free Sorry if I missed this one September 13th-20th Barnet: Alfie Pavey - Dover Athletic (ST) - Undisclosed Bromley: Shawn McCoulsky - Forest Green Rovers (ST) - Loan Chesterfield: Gevaro Nepomuceno - Oldham Athletic (W) - Loan Solihull Moors: Adi Yussuf - Blackpool (ST) - Loan Sutton United: Kyel Reid - Free Agent (W) - Free Woking: Jamar Loza - Chelmsford City (ST) - Loan
  15. Think they signed him from Braintree at the start of last season (he was their captain). Dominant centre half who looks ok with the ball at his feet. Bromley's season will be built off a strong defence. Notts must do more to break teams down. We've just got rid of two players who could've helped yesterday, creativity wise.
  16. Slocombe 6 - Normal goalkeepers day. Couldn't do owt about either goal Brindley 6 - Has a good cross on him. Not a great day, not a bad day Rawlinson 4 - Basic passes misplaced. Belongs on the subs bench. Partly at fault for the first goal McCrory 6 - Did ok. Made yards. Isn't a centre-back Bakayogo 4 - Not great going forward. Partly at fault for the first goal O'Brien 6 - Passed it ok. Went off with a suspected broken arm Rose 5 - Tried. Goes back with the ball too often when the forward pass is available Booty 6 - Played a good ball to Wootton for the goal. Boldewijn 5 - Meh Wootton 6 - Brilliant goal. Battled with the Bromley defenders. Didn't receive any service second half Dennis 5 - Had one shot which was well saved. No service Subs Bird 6 - Passes the ball well and is not afraid to battle it out physically. Needs to start vs The Wood Thomas 4 - Nothing of real note to say Osborne N/A - Came on for O'Brien in added time
  17. Bromley have a very good attack. Michael Cheek and Reeco Hackett-Fairchild have both scored 5 this season. Adrian Clifton is a goal threat and so is recent loan signing Shawn McCoulsky on loan from Forest Green. Believe they play a 4-4-2 with Hackett-Fairchild and Cheek up front. Luke Coulson is a danger from the wing and we will have to limit the impact of Billy Bingham from central midfield. Although in the last few away games, Notts have controlled the play in the second half and dominated teams but haven't made there pressure count. We played for 90 minutes last Saturday and won, we need to do that on the road as well.
  18. It hasn't sunk in really. It's been mostly the reverse because it's so refreshing to have a well run club. I think the fans, players and staff can see that we have a club that has the potential to move forward again with new, fresh ideas. Despite not being able to sign players till late, we have done really well in the transfer market. It's about the team kicking on now and turning draws into wins. With this squad I believe we have a very good chance of making the top 7.
  19. Birmingham City 1-1 Preston North End Sheffield Wednesday 1-1 Fulham Doncaster Rovers 1-2 Peterborough United Rotherham United 2-1 Shrewsbury Town (Joker) Plymouth Argyle 2-0 Cheltenham Town Cambridge United 2-2 Swindon Town Torquay United 1-2 Dagenham & Redbridge Halifax Town 1-1 Barnet
  20. It's a shame as he was coming into his stride and played well on Saturday. Would say we need another centre back now as, whilst Bird is good enough, we might need another option incase Turner's injury persists and we need to be prepared for the busy schedule, especially if we go on a run in the FA Cup or FA Trophy
  21. @28111862 The agreement with Notts Trent Uni only ran until early September I think
  22. Bristol Rovers 1-1 Gillingham (Joker) Doncaster Rovers 1-0 Blackpool Portsmouth 1-1 Burton Albion Rochdale 2-2 Lincoln City Morecambe 0-1 Walsall Scunthorpe United 2-1 Oldham Athletic Leyton Orient 1-2 Crewe Alexandra Barnet 1-1 Aldershot Town
  23. Slocombe 6 - Safe and steady when called upon Brindley 8 - What a debut. Looked comfortable in possession and defending. Gets forward well too Graham 7 - Did well in possession. Won his headers. Calm assured performance Turner 7 - Strong game from the fridge till he was subbed McCrory 7 - Got forward well. Did really well defensively when we went down to 10 Boldewijn 5 - Worked hard in parts. O'Brien 9 - Played a continent splitting ball to Thomas for the goal. Ran the show. Unreal performance Doyle 4 - Was fine until the sending off. Will have to look at the replay to sit if it was a red. Thankfully it didn't do too much damage to us Rose 7 - Has this thing of not playing great in the first half and then turns into Marco Verratti in the second half. Thomas 7 - Pulled Halifax defenders out of position and was an all round nuisance for Halifax but please just take a chance in front of goal Wootton 9 - Bordering on 10. Magnificent. Won everything and scored. No Wootton no party Subs Booty 6 - Did what he had to do when he was subbed on. Got us going on the counter when Halifax came forward Rawlinson 6 - Covered well for Turner
  24. September 6th-13th AFC Fylde: Tyler Hornby-Forbes - Free Agent (RB) - Free (non-contact terms) Aldershot Town: Jack Powell - Crawley Town (CM) - Loan Halifax Town: Charlie Cooper - Forest Green Rovers (CM) - Free Solihull Moors: Josh Neufville - Luton Town (ST) - Loan Yeovil Town: Jimmy Smith - Crawley Town (CM) - Loan
  25. Celebrating my birthday Obviously going to see Notts vs Halifax. Going out for dinner in the evening. Sunday. Who knows. It's Sunday. Nothing really happens on a Sunday
