I have just found that Danny has been put up for transfer. I personally am gutted. He is a very talented striker and we need him badly. I can't understand why he is up.

A lot of fans on facebook are happy about this though. I can't understand why, as it will be history repeating itself, when he leaves for another club and starts scoring goals very match!

When things don't work out, we quickly seem to ditch players. The good news here is that the club have transfer listed him, however I suppose this is because Danny Haynes probably doesn't want to mutually terminate his contract. If the club haven't asked him, this is good because we do this far too often and I still feel Haynes as something to offer us.

He's still young and with improved players to support him, the better he might be for us.

As a alone striker he was never really going to impact games and when he featured earlier in the season he ran for everything. It's a shame, I am sure some here will be pleased but with the lack of a solid striker - I would hope to see a management team helping him.

im disappointed about this because he has not been here long enough to judge him and i think some fans here have said that players adjust or settle in their second years. this season has not been good for anyone, a better start might see a better response from him.

gutted tbh

I have said before that in my opinion we haven't played to his strengths, he is not a "one up front" kind of striker but with a good partner at the side of him I feel he could do a job for us given a run in the team.

However, I trust SD's judgement on this one, he sees him in training, he sees his attitude etc., he did say that the players could either "come with me or they would be discarded" or words to that effect, so I guess with Danny SD had decided that he is not pulling his weight.

SD has obviously made a judgement call here. I'm surprised really by this though. He would be my first choice in the hole so to speak. Without Mac we need somebody who can move, create and put a shift in. I believe Haynes has all of these attributes, but I don't see him everyday in training.

This just seems odd, I am listening to Colin on the radio and he said we had to offer him a big wage and that hes a londoner.

it would be a shame to see him leave, we need to keep players like Haynes.

that would be because most of the facebook fans that comment on the notts page are mardy a**eh***s who think we should be walking every bloody match and if we dont then players and the manager needs to go.

yes ive moaned bout the managers before on there but only when its been getting to the point when they really need to be sacked and at that point ive even had fans have ago at me who have been saying the same thing.

i try to defend our players and i get crap once defended lee hughes and several notts fans called him a murdering rapist and when i had ago back notts media team actually warned me not the other fans for what they said so dont use the facebook page anymore.

Perhaps it's a kick up the proverbial arse. When was the last time a Notts player was transfer listed.

Hope he proves he wants it.
