Notts County put in a woeful performance as Crewe Alexandra ran out 3-0 winners over the Magpies in Saturday's League Two clash at Gresty Road. Motherwell loanee Taylor-Sinclair got the scoring underway with his header into the far corner of Alex Palmer's net from Charlie Kirk's delivery following a short corner routine. Although Notts had a couple of chances, the Railwaymen doubled their lead on 77 when Ryan Wintle turned in Perry Ng's pull-back from close range. Substitute JamesUpdated by PON_News

Nottingham City council eventually leased a plot of land to Notts and a new home stadium was quickly erected. The stadium, 'Meadow Lane', would become the centre of football within Nottingham, as the ground en-counted historic moments, such as the World War II bombing, many matches and legends of the game. Moving onto the early 1990's then Chairman, Derek Pavis, set about plans to modernise the stadium. Over the years, the ground had witnessed a few characteristic additions but largelyUpdated by Chris

Once again Mr Trew's taken time out of his busy schedule to answer questions asked by our community here at Pride of Nottingham. It was July 2013 the last time we put a series of questions to the chairman of Notts County Football Club. Several members of the community took to ask questions, we asked everyone to help select which questions should be put to Mr Trew and here we are. Today, 12 February 2019, marks 25 years since the last time Notts County met Nottingham Forest in the league, and more crucially, the last time the Magpies beat the Reds. Christened Sir Charlie Palmer Day, the result in that Division One (that's second tier for all you young'uns) game at Meadow Lane was 2-1 to Notts, with the winner coming just four minutes of time through Charlie Palmer. Notts County recorded a superb 3-0 derby win over Chesterfield at Meadow Lane to remain in the National League playoff place hunt. The Magpies went close after nine minutes when Connell Rawlinson headed a cross from Enzio Boldewijn back across goal and the ball hit the post, before the Dutchman then saw his free kick crash against the crossbar. Chesterfield were awarded a penalty in the 39th minute for a foul on David Buchanan by Alex Lacey but Notts keeper Ross Fitzsimons saved ScottUpdated by PON_News

On occasions, I have been asked why I support Notts County? Itβs not enough to have it in your blood or to have shared the best part of your childhood attending games with your grandfather who lived and breathed the magpies. I always reply, when itβs good β itβs incredible, and when itβs a rollercoaster, youβre closer because youβre a community at the end of the day. Some fans might prefer to have it easy; however, I feel most wouldnβt. Notts County isnβt chosen, it chooses you anUpdated by Chris

Since coming to Meadow Lane two years ago, Ronan Murray has quickly established himself as one of Notts Countyβs first-choice players. The young Irishman originally signed to the club on a short-term contract as one of four successful trialists in 2013, but he went on to play a key role in helping the Magpies avoid relegation from League One with nine goals in 16 starts. Of course, there was the odd setback, most notably the red card on the quarter-hour mark of thUpdated by cheeky~k8

Seven years since our first and only visit. Seven exciting, long, sometimes joyful, but mostly nerve-wrecking years. But at the Oldham game the Swedish magpies were back, It wont take that long again. There was a lot of boiled up excitement for both me and Fredric as we drove up from London city airport on Friday. Seven years ago we visited Meadow Lane and Notts County to write a big article about the club as a part of my journalism exam. Since then we been fans, following intensely fromUpdated by Chris

Here is Part 7 in the series '150 Years of Football'. As before there are links to previous articles for anyone who missed them or wishes to read again. As I have explained previously, football in the mid 1800's was very haphazard and with very little organisation. Clubs were being formed all over the UK, playing games to different rules. The Football Association was founded on the 26th October 1863 and the Challenge cup which bears its name was first contested in 1871/2, provingUpdated by cheeky~k8

The success to any football club isn't an exact science, although having the right balance of skill and desire is usually a good thing for any lower league team. The importance of the youth academy is one of the most desired areas, commonly over-looked and under appreciated. Many successful football clubs make use of this system, keeping the star youngsters and letting go the youth players who sadly do not make the cut. This is no more different at Notts County, where we have seen many goUpdated by Chris

The opening of this memorial message has been constructed by Notts fan @Darryl Broughton, as fan messagesΒ cameΒ pouring in the news β first with the Notts County Supporters Club. It quickly became apparent how much the magpiesβ star had touched the lives of many. On the 8th of September 2011 Notts County played Juventus in the opening of their newly built Juventus Stadium. The 41,000 capacity stadium (the first venue to be modernised but downsized) was the host of a special occasion. Juventus could have played a host of major footballing sides, such as the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona or even Manchester United, they decided to choose history, a kind gesture very unlikely in modern football and it's one which has featured proudly in our own 150Updated by Chris

Sadly now departed for pastures new, Lee Hughes became an icon while at Notts County and his goals in taking us to the League Two title and then keeping us up the following year, allied with his great character, earned him legendary status at Meadow Lane. And there is one game above all that stands out in terms of Hughesβ brilliance for me, and a day that is one of my more memorable supporting Notts. Notts County owners Christoffer and Alexander Reedtz spoke to supporters at a fans' forum at Meadow Lane on Tuesday evening. Here are some of the key points as noted by Pride of Nottingham: The Danish brothers were attracted to Notts because of the club's history, Nottingham as a city, the potential and a fantastic opportunity. 2019/2020 aim is to hopefully gain promotion - however, they feel it's not expected and Neal Ardley must establish the team. Notts County returned to winning ways as Jonathan Forte's brace sealed a 2-1 victory over League Two promotion rivals Coventry City at Meadow Lane. Pride of Nottingham-sponsored Forte broke the deadlock when he glanced in Jorge Grant's corner in the 60th minute. Coventry equalised in the 85th minute as substitute Jordan Ponticelli deceived goalkeeper Adam Collin with a deft flick into the back of the net. Notts County decided to hold a firework display ahead of their final home game of the League Two season against Blackpool on Saturday. With the players lined up on the Meadow Lane pitch not far from the touchline in front of the Derek Pavis stand, they had their backs turned to the display on the centre circle. And right at the end, loud explosions from the cannons startled both sets of players, some of whom visibly flinched - cue much amusement from the crowd! See the firework diUpdated by Joe Jones
