Notts County have done their big kit reveal, with the public now knowing the design of all their shirts and jerseys for the 2017/18 season. On Tuesday evening, the club released a video which showed manager Kevin Nolan visiting a young fan and showing him the new home shirt. Later on in the evening, Notts published an article on their website which showcased the home, away, third, goalkeeper and training kits. As with every release of new clothing, there will always be divided opiUpdated by Joe Jones

Notts County have unveiled their new kits for the 2018/19 season. The Magpies released teasers of the new Puma shirts throughout Friday before the full unveiling in the evening. The home kit retains the vertical black-and-white stripes that Notts are famous for and "pays homage to the very popular kits of the 1990s by incorporating yellow into the design". The away kit, meanwhile, "sees the Magpies continue with their cool combination of blue and white – with a pinstripe twist".Added by Joe Jones

Notts County are preparing for the first home game of the 2017/18 League Two season, hosting local rivals Chesterfield at Meadow Lane on Saturday. The Magpies did not get off to a particularly good start, losing 3-0 at Coventry City last week, but a much-changed team put in an impressive display at Scunthorpe United in the League Cup on Tuesday, taking the League One side all the way to penalties at Glanford Park. Now, the clock is ticking down to the opportunity to see Notts back on hUpdated by Joe Jones

On Saturday, it was announced that former Notts County chairman Derek Pavis had passed away aged 87. Pavis, who has the west stand at Meadow Lane named in his honour, guided the Magpies through their most successful period in their recent history thanks to his shrewd appointment of Neil Warnock and investment in the squad. He also oversaw the redevelopment of the stadium before stepping aside after 13 years at the helm at the age of 70. Here are just some of the tributes left on tUpdated by Joe Jones

The opening of this memorial message has been constructed by Notts fan @Darryl Broughton, as fan messages came pouring in the news – first with the Notts County Supporters Club. It quickly became apparent how much the magpies’ star had touched the lives of many. Mick Vinter joined Notts County in 1971/1972 season, he was a great player for the reserves, being the top scorer with 26 goals from that season. He continued to be a regular striker for the reserves making the odd substitute aUpdated by Chris

Notts County owners Christoffer and Alexander Reedtz spoke to supporters at a fans' forum at Meadow Lane on Tuesday evening. Here are some of the key points as noted by Pride of Nottingham: The Danish brothers were attracted to Notts because of the club's history, Nottingham as a city, the potential and a fantastic opportunity. 2019/2020 aim is to hopefully gain promotion - however, they feel it's not expected and Neal Ardley must establish the team. To Notts County fans, Lee Hughes needs no introduction. The last of the truly great Magpies strikers, his performances lit up the Meadow Lane pitch between 2009 and 2013, and to this day he remains a fan favourite. Hughes has just as much love for the Black and White Army, which is why he has decided to launch his new business venture at an event at the club, surrounded by the faithful Magpies supporters. The event will take place at Meadow Lane on Wednesday 2 August, 7pm, and is freeUpdated by Joe Jones

Notts County decided to hold a firework display ahead of their final home game of the League Two season against Blackpool on Saturday. With the players lined up on the Meadow Lane pitch not far from the touchline in front of the Derek Pavis stand, they had their backs turned to the display on the centre circle. And right at the end, loud explosions from the cannons startled both sets of players, some of whom visibly flinched - cue much amusement from the crowd! See the firework diUpdated by Joe Jones

Notts County have advanced to the third round of the FA Trophy thanks to a 2-1 win over Dagenham & Redbridge sealed in injury time with a moment of magic from Magpies captain Michael Doyle. Neal Ardley's charges hosted the East Londoners at Meadow Lane and, despite striking the woodwork, could not find the lead by half time, the scores level at 0-0. In the second half, Tom Crawford and Zoumana Bakayogo combined for the latter to then provide a great cross for Kristian Dennis to netUpdated by PON_News

Notts County stretched their unbeaten run to nine games in a 0-0 draw with Dover Athletic this weekend. A fairly turgid game saw its first bright spark before the break when Enzio Boldewijn was thwarted by Lee Worgan and Kyle Wootton was then denied on the follow-up. Michael Doyle then set up Wes Thomas to have a go at goal but Worgan was equal to it. Inih Effiong wasted Dover's best chance, which came after the break, when he cut inside the area but fired way off target. InUpdated by PON_News

Notts County returned to the National League playoff places thanks to a 1-1 draw with Woking at Meadow Lane. The hosts started brightly with Kyle Wootton being denied by Craig Ross and Kristian Dennis firing narrowly wide from the edge of the area in the 13th minute. Woking, however, opened the scoring five minutes into the second half when Dave Tarpey's cross was turned in by Max Kretzschmar. The home side missed a good chance to equalise when Callum Roberts cleared the bar in thUpdated by PON_News

Watching Nottingham Forest when you could be watching Notts County. Surely every Magpie’s worst nightmare? Well, that was my experience on the 2nd of March. The Reds were coming to Hillsborough and as I live and work in Sheffield, and as both my sisters’ other halves were coming up to experience the Sheffield pub and club scene and watch the Reds, I was asked if I wanted to go along. I liked the pub sounding element, but watching the Reds? A day watching Forest at considerable expense whiUpdated by Chris

On this day in 1981, Notts County experienced one of the finest days in their history when they claimed a 2-0 win over Chelsea at an intimidating Stamford Bridge to secure a return to the top flight after an exile of more than half a century. When the Magpies had last graced the top flight, penicillin had not yet been discovered, the BBC did not yet exist, and women under the age of 30 were not yet allowed to vote. The last Notts top-flight game was in 1926 and few could have expected suchAdded by Joe Jones

What goes up must come down, and following Notts County's incredible spell between mid-August and late September, things have taken a bit of a downturn. The Magpies still remain in the upper reaches of the League Two table, but following three poor performances from the last four games, alarm bells have started ringing just a little. Up next is the long trip to Cumbria on Saturday, where Carlisle United await us. In this Opposition View, Pride of Nottingham speaks to Cumbrians fanUpdated by Joe Jones

Notts County will be hoping to get back to winning ways following their draws against Luton Town and Grimsby Town when they host Cambridge United this weekend. Managed by Shaun Derry, the U's are currently in a bad vein of form and may be missing key players. Pride of Nottingham spoke to Cambridge fan Tom to get an insight on this weekend's opposition. About Tom: I'm 26, been supporting the U's since I was a child, as long as I can remember, and my favourite player is Dave Kitson.Updated by Joe Jones

Notts County have successfully navigated the crunch clash with Luton Town last weekend, now we're back at Meadow Lane this weekend as we take on Grimsby Town. The Mariners have enjoyed a decent enough season so far, sitting 11th in the table with nine wins, five draws and seven defeats. Pride of Nottingham spoke to Grimsby fan Steve to get an insight on the opposition. About Steve: Been a fan since the 90s and my favourite player of all time is John McDermott. 1) Grimsby spenUpdated by Joe Jones

I've been very busy since opening Pride of Nottingham that I haven't had much time for my other hobbies. When I'm not doing things on here, I tend to be found on one of my other sites that I run. These are all things I am very passionate about, so it makes complete sense to bind two of them together. The first site I ever started was related to Poetry & Art, it's something that has been very positive in my life and great way for me to express myself. Over the years I've followed football I have witnessed some very special events though I haven't seen Notts County in the highest English division or seen England win a major international trophy. I have witnessed things I hold dear to my heart, so growing up as a Notts County fan never really held me back. I was never bothered during Junior school about what people said about Notts County, I was always proud, more importantly, when you have someone who inspires you, well nothing can makeUpdated by PON_News

Pride of Nottingham is once again delighted to be able to bring you some action shots of yesterdays game, which saw Notts lose 4-2 to Peterborough United at home. Again, the crowd was very impressive at times and good support shown throughout. We're sure Notts will bounce back, two games in and two very hard teams, leaves the feeling that we can only climb from here on. We now leave you to view the photos which have kindly been submitted to us, you find mine own snaps, along with Oskar's.Updated by PON_News
