Notts County's five-game unbeaten run in League Two came to an abrupt end on Saturday as they fell to a humbling 4-0 defeat away at Bury. The Shakers were impressive from the off and took the lead on 11 minutes when Nicky Maynard slid in to convert Callum McFadzean's cross. Eight minutes later the hosts were two up as a low cross from Danny Mayor was not cleared by a static Magpies defence. The ball trickled into the path of Dominic Telford, who tapped home from three yards to leaAdded by PON_News

Notts County's dreadful start to the season now feels an age away. Three wins in a row and five games unbeaten now has the Magpies up in 17th place in the League Two table, four points clear of the bottom two, a superb turnaround given they were bottom of the table on just one point a month ago. The latest victory is also County's first win away from home this season as Macclesfield Town, themselves still struggling and currently at the foot of the league, were beaten 1-0 at Moss Rose.Updated by Chris

Was the result fair? I think a draw would have been the fairer result for the two teams, however at the same time I feel Notts should have had not just the one penalty that Jon Stead scored but another for the foul on him that resulted in Jon being hurled into the advertising board. How did Notts play? Very poor, they had no real movement and only two or three players were on the same wavelength β this would always make getting a result harder. Following the 2-1 win over Crewe Alexandra at the weekend, Notts County followed it up with an even more impressive 3-1 victory over Harry Kewell's former employers Crawley Town. Kane Hemmings and Jon Stead had the Magpies two up at half-time, even though the Red Devils arguably enjoyed quite a bit of good play and had their chances. Although Rob Milsom - incidentally on loan from the opposition - was sent off 66 minutes for a late lunge, substitute Nathan Thomas added a third goal toUpdated by Chris

The Notts County revival is well and truly on. After a shocking start to the season where the Magpies looked unfit for purpose in League Two, Harry Kewell's last four games have now yielded eight points in the shape of two wins and two draws. Following the 2-1 win over Crewe Alexandra at the weekend, Notts followed it up with an even more impressive 3-1 win over Kewell's former employers Crawley Town, a feat made more remarkable by the fact they finished the game with 10 men. Notts County finally claimed their first win of the 2018-19 campaign, with Crewe Alexandra beaten 2-1 at Meadow Lane. It's been an anxious start to the season for the Magpies, who looked well out of sorts for much of their early games and found themselves at the bottom of the League Two table not long ago. But with Harry Kewell at the helm after Kevin Nolan's departure, two consecutive draws have been followed up by the first three-point haul of the campaign. The Magpies began briAdded by PON_News

Notts County sit 23rd in the League Two table, now just above Macclesfield Town, after drawing 0-0 against Northampton Town away on Saturday. Ross Fitzsimons saved a shot from Northampton's Matt Crooks leaving the first half goalless, though the Cobblers seemingly had better chances on ball in the first 45 minutes. The second half kicked off with a bit more pace and the Magpies' Lewis Alessandra had a shot on goal along with Northampton's David Buchanan. Also in the second half KaUpdated by PON_News

Notts County have moved off the foot of the League Two table and now sit two points from safety following their second successive draw, a 0-0 stalemate at Northampton Town. The Magpies drew 3-3 against Stevenage last time out and, although they remain chasing a win this season, a second clean sheet of the campaign - following that against Colchester United in August - will come as a much-welcomed improvement.
