Jorge Grant says he has "improved so much as a player and as a person" following his loan spell at Notts County.

The Nottingham Forest attacker has enjoyed two bright loan spells at Meadow Lane, in the second half of the 2016-17 campaign and the entirery of last season.

With County's 2017-18 campaign now over, Grant has returned over the Trent but posted some kind comments about the club and the fans.

β€œBig thanks to everyone at Notts County for the last 18 months,” the 23-year-old wrote on Twitter.

β€œImproved so much as a player and as a person! Sad to say goodbye to everyone today.

β€œThanks to everyone behind the scenes and the fans for all the love and hate. It honestly has been a pleasure.”

I wished he would consider coming back for one more season.

He's progressing nicely and, I don't blame him for wanting to try his hands (I should write feet ) at League One but really his game needs to be polished just a little further IMO. If he goes to a League One club I hope its one which will push him as we did, I don't expect him to come back.

I really wish he would return I’ve been hoping for the news of a extension on the loan but deep down knee it wouldn’t happen. He really progressed with County he is a good player I’m sorry to see him leave I really am.Β his play and style of play improved and adapted to the team it wasn’t about him but notts County that’s something u don’t see from a loan player especially one from the other side of the Trent. I personally can’t wait to see his development as a player and maybe in to the England squad one day but I hope he will return one day a great player developeing really well a great bloke as well so laid back. I’m glad he enjoyed his time with County and we helped him cause he gave a lot to the team.Β

big player for us, he did fantastically well both seasons he featured and i wished we could get him back for one more.

good luck to him next season.
