Notts County and Blackpool eager to sign Port Vale midfielder Michael O'Connor?

Notts County have expressed an interest in signing ex-Port Vale midfielder Michael O'Connor, according to reports.

The former Northern Ireland international,  who was Vale's player of the season in the 2014-15 campaign. is a free agent after leaving the League One club.

According to the Nottingham Post, Magpies boss John Sheridan would like to sign O'Connor and build next season's team around him, but Blackpool are also keen on the player.

O'Connor is said to have been offered a new deal by Port Vale, club but he rejected it because of the two-hour commute.

Would you like to see O'Connor at Meadow Lane? Let Pride of Nottingham know by visiting the forum and joining the conversation.

He is a good player and I would welcome him , so long as it's not because we are a shorter commute if he was to sign .

ANOTHER ex Miller, good player, goalscoring, box to box central midfielder, also vocal, definite captain material, I'd urge Notts to sign him.
