Round 18:

Clue: I am a father whose daughter has chosen to tread the same path as I did. Her given name is far simpler to articulate compared to mine. I had the pleasure of a brief period with Notts County. Can you guess who I am?

Points Table:

@Fan of Big Tone - 8
@Fozzy - 5
@super_ram - 2
@KB1862 - 1
@liampie - 1
@Piethagoram - 1

I don’t know anything at all about women’s football (apart from the fact it’s poor) so can’t think of anybody really.

Wild guess would be Chi Chi Mendes?

Brilliantly answered by none other than @Piethagoram. Tony appeared lost with my hint, but Fozzy guessing Chi Chi Mendes was a good attempt. I’ll post another round on Saturday.

I’ll confirm the exact time later, but I reckon I should be available around 7pm.

@Fozzy - 5
@Piethagoram - 2
@super_ram - 2

Meindert Dijkstra is a name I would rather forget after his unforgettable own goal in injury time against Derby which cost us promotion.

I’m surprised @super_ram hasn’t mentioned this I think Dijkstra is in their hall of fame.:censored:

I honestly can't recall the game at all.My memory is usually quite good and I'm sure there would have been some banter with my Notts supporting wife and Father in law  but nothing..

Mick Walker went right down in my estimations after this game as I felt he showed no class whatsoever in singling out Dijkstra for his mistake. I laid just as much blame on Cherry as he came rushing out when there was no need to as Dijkstra had it covered.

Overall, it was a more than fair result on the night as Derby had by far the best chances, but Gary Mac could have put the game out of reach but shot too near their keeper when normally he would have buried it.

That Derby side was an expensive unit as well with Tommy J, Shorty, Paul Kitson, Paul Simpson and Gabbiadini in it (I think Gabbiadini was on the bench).

Round 19:

May I briefly intervene and pose a question so @CliftonMagpie can have a go!

Clue: My career may have been on the periphery at Notts but I subsequently Göt a career in coaching?

Who am I?

By the way, @Fozzy

Totally agree: "Mick Walker went right down in my estimations after this game as I felt he showed no class whatsoever in singling out Dijkstra for his mistake. I laid just as much blame on Cherry as he came rushing out when there was no need to as Dijkstra had it covered."
