I had assumed he would move to a sunnier country, but I suspect that money played a role in his decision to join Oxford. If he has a good season, he could potentially move to a Championship club. Oxford fans will need to establish a connection with him, as the bond he had with his previous club was very special.

There aren’t many sunnier or hotter countries than here at the moment but yes I know what you mean. 
 

I think I read somewhere that he said in an interview that the move had been on the cards for some time. I wonder if this is why we didn’t see him at his best in the last few games, perhaps he’d lost his focus.
