Penpals

Do any one you have penpals? I have had them on and off since I was at school. I'm now trying to find new ones as a few of my older ones haven't written in a while and I need something fresh.

I love snail mail and would never send emails etc as it looses some of its charm I feel. I do have my penpals on facebook, where we do chat and keep up with each other. But we always send each other letters.

I was wondering if anyone else has any or had penpals when they were younger?

No, I haven't.

When I was junior school the teacher spoke about a penpal system which would see us eventually spend time over in france and visa versa but I wasn't interested. I've got quite a lot of friends from all across the world but I only message/send letters to some but they're actual friends tho.

I haven't either I guess the likes of Facebook and emails etc has meant the need to send pen pals letters via snail mail abroad is less appealing.

Alternatively use Skype and speak to friends and family face to face instantly.

I tried it once, launched a little letter in a bottle off the beach at Chapel, wondering who might get it... some young Swedish piece, a carrot cruncher from Norfolk, right about now I suspect it is floating around the north sea, with nobody to read it but a load of killer rats.
