Pleased for our local sporting heroes, & especially pleased for Howard Wilkinson. He deserves it for his work in Football and his charity work.

Mary Earps hasn't really done anything to warrant it, I'm not one those people who bash her and go on about it solely being awarded due to feminism. I just think their are far more worthy people, people who have retired and done so much charity work.

It's not just Mary, others are having awards given to them for a spotlight instead of a true legacy.

It's just wrong in my eyes.

I agree @Piethagoram about Jimmy. A Manager that took a club from the 4th Division up to the Ist should have had more recognition from the powers that be.

The achievement may never ever be repeated.

@Lozzle1 said to me once, that Les Bradd deserves it. I fully believe this to be correct, the amount of good he's done with charities and working in the game.

I agree @Chris 

When you look at other sporting icons & those outside sport, who were more deserving of recognition & didn't get it. This seems to happen a lot.
