Mansfield seem to be dropping a few points lately, are the wheels coming off?

How we have fallen to be just beneath MK Don's I don't know, it's a saddening feel because they've been woeful.

Facebook banter groups are constantly labelling themselves as "bottlers." I think it's just natural and that they will pick up again soon. They have a good team, a good manager and have fixtures coming up where they must feel confident (including against us).

Listened to some of the commentary on Radio Nottingham. Seems they are having trouble in scoring up front, they are making chances but not taking them. They do have an injury list. It's their defence that is saving them at present.

So the only winner among those that are affecting Notts at this time is Barrow apart from Mansfield.

Playoff wise we are still 7th on goal difference. Still everything to play for.

I'm still believing we can get to the playoffs, automatics may be too far away now, but other teams in the playoff mix not pulling away from Notts

Onto the next game.

Wrexham and Barrow have lost, otherwise all the other challengers have won.

Notts now find themselves in 10th place, 3 points behind Harrogate, who are in 7th

All 9 goals that Mansfield scored against Harrogate in their record breaking win.

It's also quite something that they scored nine against a team in a play-off spot! That's good news for us, we're not going to catch Mansfield and it absolutely murders Harrogate's goal difference.

Elsewhere, FGR got a surprise win at Barrow to put them six points behind safety. Stockport lost at home too.

All teams will have a poor run sometime during a League Season, swings and rounder bouts and hopefully Notts have now had theirs. I have to be brutally honest and say I don't believe Notts are ready for League 1 and this is Not being disrespectful but a large part of the current Squad are not League 1 some even League 2 standard. I think this coming off season not only will Notts not renew certain players contracts, but should also release some players  from their contracts and  sign players of a higher standard capable of  playing in League 2 and push the Magpies to promotion, and are then capable of holding their own in League 1. In the last couple of seasons the Recruitment team at Notts have signed some excellent players Macca, Cedwyn, John Bostock Didzy Matt Palmer  Jodi Lewis Macari and Dan Crowley to mention a few, hopefully even now certain players are being watched, with the intension of them being bought to the Lane next season.

I agree, Harrogate's goal difference has taken a battering.

It's been a rollercoaster season for Notts so far. We have a chance to change things round and finish in the playoffs, that would be an excellent season for us. Once in the playoffs, anything can happen, but if we don't make it, & it means Macca & Jodi move on, there would be plenty of funds available for recruitment to relaunch our challenge next season, and go for an automatic place.

Even though Notts lost today the other results that affect Notts went very favourably for us.

Stockport, Mansfield and Barrow lost, with only Wrexham & MK Dons winning out of the top 7. Notts lost of course but out of the top 12 teams there were only two wins today.

Notts are down to 9th place, but just one point off a playoff place.

So there is so much to play for with just 14 games left. There are 9 clubs fighting for the last two playoff places, and Notts will be playing some of those teams in the run in.

Lots of "6 pointers" to play for then.
