IFAB are at it again. Personally, I don't think this rule introduction will benefit the game at all. I understand what they're trying to implement but I don't think it's going to work and I can see there being a lot of controversy when it comes into effect.

They've already changed and introduced rules that has made the beautiful game we all love confusing hence why there's a lot of talk in punditry regarding "the letter of the law" like handball and offsides.

It will be an interesting experiment, 10 minutes on the side line if a player makes a professional foul or shows dissent. I wonder what’ll happen if the goalie gets sin binned?

I like the idea but there must be strict protocols regarding what offence would justify a blue card ( I would prefer an orange card)

I don't want the issue of sinbining a player just down to interpretation. It should be for a clear professional foul, deliberate hand ball, or dissent.

What if there is a players brawl on the pitch, would we finish up with a five a side match for 10 minutes?

Looks like the sin bin plans have been shelved. Just as well.

The Mail Online clickbaiting again, what a surprise.

I'm not sure what I'd make of this, it's a big change but then red and yellow cards were new once. I can imagine there being confusion over what exactly would merit a blue or a red card. Wouldn't a blue card be less of a deterrent for a professional foul?

On the other hand, I've been at ice hockey matches where sin binned players have to sit alone on a kind of naughty step and it's hilarious.

A lot of people have asked the same thing. I'm assuming it'll run like when a keeper gets red and they've used all 3/5 subs so an outfield player goes in net.
