Ratings v Bradford

LAH - 7 - Didn't have a deal to do, but did it well. Decision-making was solid and distribution on the whole was decent.

Warner - 5 - Calamity in the first half. Extremely lucky Bradford are woeful and couldn't capitalise on his numerous mistakes. Improved in the 2nd half, largely as Bradford stopped attacking.
Cameron - 6 - Mistake-prone in 1st half, improved thereafter.
Macari - 8 - Proper defender and footballer.

Robertson - 6.5 - Lot of good stuff, made some mistakes but didn't prove costly.Β
Austin - 6.5 - Does a lot of the unseen things that make the team more effective without shining a spotlight on himself.
Jones - 7.5 - Some brilliant balls and of course gets more assists. Makes strange decisions at times.
Nemane - 7 - He was decent today. Lot of great touches going forward on aΒ  difficult pitch.
Crowley - 8.5 - Bradford defenders' heads still probably spinning. Given the freedom of VP. Loses his runner at times defensively.

Langstaff - 7 - Got his goal. Should have had at least another. Kept going.
Jatta - 8 - Awkward attacker that gives us a lot of options. Great header, even better 1 v 1 finish. Doesn't always win headers when we go long, but causes them enough of a problem that they can't comfortably clear it.

For perspective; Bradford were atrocious. They're as bad as we are defending, but they can't attack either. Their pitch is an abomination. The first half of football was as bad as anything the NL serves up.

Can't remember much about the ref - must've had a decent game!

My man of the match for Notts is Cowley. I would say his best match under Maynard, Jatta and Macari were close 2nd. Jones his usual self being influential. Langstaff never stops running. I think he can strike a good partnership with Jatta.

Ashley-Hamnond came in and did well enough, his distribution stood out too. Robertson consistent once again and Nemane looked confident, much more than late.

That 20 minute spell in the second half was the best we've seen from Notts this year.

I don't think we can expect our defence to improve in the last 8 games. It will be a case of just trying to keep the goals conceded less than the goals scored.

But this win will be a confidence booster for the match on Saturday at home to Salford. If the teams confident, they can beat anyone in this league.
