Pre match rituals

Does anyone else have pre match rituals, special clothes they wear, lucky underpants?

I always wear a Notts shirt my sons bought me for my 50th birthday 22years ago, the back of the shirt is a bit faded now but you can still read ,”Dad 50” it’s very precious because I only have one son now.

I also wear a cap, my old cap which I bought in a charity shop because it said “magpie” got very tatty and @Chris very kindly gave me another one, so I always wear that too.

Who else has matchday rituals?

I used to believe wearing away shirts at home was unlucky, but then I found myself buying more of them and this eventually faded. I used to have a home shirt I believed was lucky, as I didn't watch Notts lose wearing it, but it stopped fitting me years ago. It was a medium, there's no chance that would now. I did think about trying during the season where we were relegated, but I just opt towards bringing Ava (@CutiePie) with me.

Every game she has attended we have won, including all four games she made during the same season I mentioned before.

Jake didn't believe me, though even he ended up trying to convince Ava to come to more games when surprisingly for him, we won. Tranmere, Mansfield, and Grimsby are 3 of the 4 she made. Considering how we did that season, they proved to be big wins.

That was the last season Ava actually went to see Notts, getting her back these days isn't remotely doable.

I don't have any rituals as such now. I can remember back in the days when the Jimmy Sirrel stand was open to us and it was a case of pick your seat cos of how unpopulated it was, I never used to sit in an odd number seat except for number 27 which I would actively seek out (cos that's my birthday day). And if we we're losing in games I would also switch seats to a higher number because that was obviously going to make a massive difference to the on field result! I was only about 8 or 9 so it made perfect sense to me!
