Good morning I haven’t looked out the window yet so I don’t know what it’s doing out there but my weather gadget says the temperature is 11.6.

We had a nice night with the grandkids Granny cooked a lovely roast pork Sunday Roast and we sat down to watch a rather bizarre film on Prime called 100s of Beavers, bizarre but very funny, give it a go if you have Prime.

Have a great day everyone.

Good afternoon.

We have cloudy skies here but it has been dry all morning with the forecast saying we might get some Sunny intervals later.

It will have to be quick because the sun goes down just before 5pm today

We have both been busy this morning, out in the garden first thing for a couple of hours mowing the lawn, weeding & removing dead flowers.

It was nice to do about three hours out there. Hopefully that might be the last cut before winter.

Now it's time to relax with a nice cup of tea & biscuits. Any plans for this afternoon? Not really, just sitting down & going to have a relaxing afternoon.

Plan to go out tomorrow morning & remove our dying prairie flowers that have held on quite well this year.

I was woken up surprisingly early by the sound of a skip being dropped off just outside my flat this morning. It was for a bungalow across the road where a lady I would chat to every now and again lived. She sadly had a stroke earlier in the year and passed away.

I chatted to one of her sons briefly to ask how he was doing, he said the bungalow had sold so they needed to sort through the house. I noticed he was chucking some rather decent stuff inside the skip. There was a small tv, he said he had no use for but still worked. Now, I didn't need a tv and it wasn't my intention to use this as a kind of side-street Argos but I couldn't help but notice there were some other perfectly good looking objects inside this skip, an ice-cream maker being one of them. I asked if it worked and he said he thought so but there were no instructions for it, he said I was welcome to have it if I liked and anything else for that matter...

So long story short, I got myself an ice-cream maker (it does work), an easel for painting and a pair of stools that just needed a bit of sanding/re-painting.

It's a bit sad to throw away things that still work, I guess maybe some people find it hard to go through their loved ones items and just want to move on but I'm glad I rescued (and still might rescue a few more things) from a landfill site.

I couldn’t agree more @menzinho I’ve also noticed perfectly good stuff being thrown in a skip, I can’t for the life of me work out why they don’t take it to a charity shop if they can’t be bothered to try and sell it, at least then the charity would benefit, or it could be gifted on one of the freecycle sites or Facebook market place, anything is better than landfill.

Morning all, it’s matchday, who’s travelling? I’ll be watching the match on Sky Sports+ which I’m quite impressed with although I miss listening to the Radio Nottm commentary particularly Mark Stallard but it’s nice to watch the game live rather than imagine it in your head from the commentary.

Good Morning.

It's a nice morning here with some sunny spells, but a little chilly.

Just had a food delivery. Does save a lot of time rather than going to the super store.

Looking forward to the match tonight. Will be listening on the Radio, & hoping Notts can get a positive result.

@menzinho very sad to learn about the passing of your neighbour, plus how easily people are to throw stuff away but then again, dealing with it can be hard when you are grieving.

I've made ice cream at home, it's much healthier and nicer. I wished Cheeky would let me buy a machine to do it but our kitchen is quite small, cand the work space is limited. It's not that difficult to make from scratch, so I hope you enjoy your new ice cream maker, and manage to get creative with it.

I've had a lovely day at Skegness, we went to the sea aquarium and the dinosaurs exhibit. We then had a quick snack, the girls had ice cream, Jake had a jumbo hotdog, Super had fishcakes, chips and mushy peas and I had a chip buttie. Then we spent some time on the beach, which was brilliant fun.

Good morning, it’s a foggy Wednesday.

We woke in the night with a shock an enormous crash and bang,I thought it was an explosion or a car had crashed into the house, on investigating it turns out all our shampoo, shower gel etc., had fallen into the bath when a co trainer they were in was dislodged from the shower screen. Thank goodness that’s all it was but it gave us a shock.

Yeah it is quite shocking when you look at the back of some ice-cream tubs and it’s just a list of chemicals! What happened to making it by churning milk/cream adding in some real ingredients and freezing, is it such a difficulty for these producers?

When I got back in from work this evening I noticed the skip was missing a few items. My girlfriend told me she saw a van drive up and take a load of stuff out this afternoon!

I'm off to play football this evening, it's outdoors on an Astroturf pitch and just a social thing really. More of a kick about than an actual game as it was started by someone who just wanted to play football and it not be too serious. I really enjoy it as it is very relaxed.

Good evening.

It's been a nice day here today, we've both had a bit of a restful day, & just worked on the breakfast, Lunch & Evening Meal.

Wife had put out all the Autumn decorations & pumpkins yesterday, all looks really nice.

Looks like it's going to be a colder night too.

Sounds like wholesome family viewing!

Regarding ice cream, I'm lucky that there are lots of Italian ice cream parlours here that make their own ice cream. Good news for me as whippy ice cream gives me a bad stomach. On the other hand, you have sausage rolls and we don't, so it's swings and roundabouts...

Today is the day I work in the office and eat at the company canteen. On the menu were pork in onion sauce, a "pumpkin soup" that was orange but somehow tasted exactly the same as the onion sauce, and a bean salad. It almost beat the lentils/beans/cabbage combo I had a few weeks back. I value my marriage so I'll take sandwiches next time ;)

Good morning all. It's a mixture of cloudy skies & sunny spells here. It is a chilly morning.

Nothing planned for today just yet. If it stays nice may do an hour in the garden. Still work to do out there.

Good afternoon, we’re busy preparing for our week away starting tomorrow. I’ve given the lawn a (hopefully last) mow and it looks nice and stripey not quite up to Meadow Lane pitch standard but pretty decent for me.

We’ve got our suicide support meeting tonight and a new volunteer to show the ropes, we’ve got around 20 people coming so it’ll be busy.

I hope everyone is ok and enjoying a sunny afternoon.

Good morning I hope everyone is well. We are off up into North Yorkshire in a rented house for a week with our son and family so we are looking forward to some nice walks, meals, drinks, fun and games etc.

I’ll still be popping on here though, you don’t get rid of me that easily.

Have a lovely day whatever you are doing.

Good morning all.

Have a nice time away @Fan of Big Tone. Don't forget to vote on the man of the match at the weekend😀

Well it's been raining again overnight here & it's been on and off this morning. Pleased I got a lot of garden work done when I had the opportunity.

We have moles that lives under a few gardens on my close. Every now and then they make a few Mole hills on my lawn.

This mole family & their generations have been doing their thing under the soil for as long as we've been here,

Thanks @Robbie we got here safely and enjoyed a night of eating a lovely curry made by Mrs. T and drinking some nice beer from Magpie brewery, our son brought a keg with him.

I’m not sure how I can vote for tomorrows man of the match when I won’t have seen the game or listened to it.

Morning all, I did a different parkrun today with my son and daughter in law, it was a tough course with hills so I’ll feel that tomorrow.

The rented house we are staying in is very comfortable and can sleep 8 people so it’s perfect for the six of us. We are off the a wander round the town later, then tonight we are going to play some games, the house has “Guitar Hero” on play station (whatever that is) and grandson Fred is keen to try it.
