Good morning it’s a bright a breezy morning here, I hope everyone is well.

Our cinema trip yesterday was good, it was a compilation of videos of cats doing amusing and cute things, the grandkids enjoyed it especially Grandson Fred who would love a cat but sadly he’s allergic to them plus they live on a main road so not ideal.

Today is a lazy day I’ve got a stiff neck for some reason so I’ve took a painkiller and rubbed some ibuprofen gel on, I hope that soothes it.

Have a good day everyone.

Good evening.

It was a very poignant day being the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz.

Watched the very moving ceremony today from Auschwitz on the BBC. Attendees included our King Charles, other World leaders, & survivors from the Holocaust.

Morning all, it’s fairly bright this morning and the temperature isn’t too bad at 4.5 degrees.

I’m still suffering from a stiff painful neck so I’m dosing myself with paracetamol and putting deep heat on it to try and get rid of it. I want to get right for Friday, we are driving to York for a weeks holiday, at the moment driving is painful twisting my neck to look right or left.

Great result last night, I watched on Sky+ where the commentator kept saying Meadow Park instead of Lane and at one point we were playing Cardiff, I don’t know where they get these people from, the last match the commentator referred to us as Nottingham Forest. I wish I could sync the radio commentary with the pictures, I’d much rather listen to Bracegirdle and Stallard.

A beautiful morning here. Not a cloud in the Sky. The sun is getting brighter too.

Sad news from the US this morning with two aircraft colliding in mid air above Washington Airport overnight.

Apparently a commercial Jet carrying 64 souls collided with an Army helicopter carrying 3 Army personnel. It appears that the wreckage fell into the Potomac river.

Good afternoon, it’s quite bright here but there are a few fair weather clouds.

We’ve been a little walk this morning and it’s quite cold out of the sun so we’ll wrap up for this afternoons walk to the cemetery, we’ve got some flowers for our son’s grave, it’s coming up to the anniversary of his death 13 years ago but we’ll be away on the actual day so we’re taking flowers now.

On a brighter note my neck is gradually getting better so I don’t need so many pain killers.

Enjoy what’s left of the day folks.

More sad news today that the singer songwriter & Actress, Marianne Faithful has died.

Another sixties music icon has gone. May she rest in peace.

I had a walk to my local shop early afternoon and really enjoyed it for a change.Although the wind blew cold in my face I thought how pleasant it was not to feel like I was in the arctic(not that I've ever been to the arctic.)

Also there was no noise from my adjoining house today. The alterations there have been ongoing intermittently since August and yesterday it sounded like there were a couple clogwearing elephants in there bumbling about.Last week I was treated to their latest noise  effort-their symphony for hammer and drill at full volume.Part of their fence blew down during last weeks storms.Well, I did warn him.I wonder if the noise will return tomorrow.

I was a fan of Marianne Faithful in fact I was secretly in love with her, she was beautiful, don’t tell Mrs. T.

I’m so sorry to hear she’s passed away, may she rest in peace.

@super_ram your neighbours sound delightful. 😒

I feel so lucky to have neighbours each side who are really nice, they are about the same age as us and we know that if we needed help they’d be there for us as we would for them. When you move into a house you never know who you’ll get next door so it’s a bit of a lottery.

@Fan of Big Tone The neighbours moved out last July/August and the house has been unoccupied since. The landlord put the house up for sale initially but soon decided to renovate and rent again. The previous occupants were always moaning about how useless the landlord was and that it was very difficult to get him to do any repairs.Apparently they had mould in the kitchen which the landlord said was caused by water dripping from our central heating outlet. This was disproved. Then he blamed a tree in our garden with rainwater supposedly causing damp through the wall, though our kitchen wasn't affected. The tree was removed but made no difference to the mould. Then he had a blockage in his drains which again he put the blame my side of the fence but Severn Trent said it was his side. There's still rubbish in the access to next doors back garden which runs down the side and bottom of my garden.I expect a bit of noise tomorrow, probably from 8ish and I still have new tenants to look forward to.
