Lets Be Totally Honest, a Very Large Chunk of the Notts Fan Base, Don't Give a Damn about the Clubs Infrastructure They Don't Care about the Paddle Courts, The Nest or the Hybrid Pitch. What They Want to see is Success on the Pitch. And a lot of Fans feel Let Down by the Brothers. Yes they Saved the Club from the Alan Hardy Era, but after six years in control, their only success on the Pitch which has been achieved is the Promotion Playoff Victory at Wembley. And Despite Saving the Club, that now is Starting to wear a little Thin with the Notts Faithful. How much Longer do Fans have to say Thankyou for Keeping the Club from going under ? Is the Rescue of Notts always going to be a Sword held over the Magpies Fans Heads ? Is it any wonder that the Club Higher Ups are coming under attack from Fans on Social Media Platforms and Have Your Say Comment Sections ? Is it a Surprise they're accused of Lacking Ambition ? Fans on this very site are beginning to Show their Frustration.

Where the Paddle Courts the Nest and the New Pitch Really Necessary ? I would have thought once the Club was on a Financial Even Keel, the Main Focus off the Pitch would have been the State of the Stadium. Fans Safety on Match Day Is Paramount, and once that had been accomplished, then Focus should have been Shifted to Providing a Squad of Players capable of Getting Notts Promoted, Under a Head Coach who leads from the Front, who can Inspire and Make all his Players Believe in themselves and turn them into better Players. Players who would Run Through Brick Walls, for Him and The Fans who turn up to matches Week In and Week Out, and those who follow the Magpies Away from the Lane.

As the Expense of all the Off Pitch Infrastructure been to Much? Leaving the Recruitment Budget Cupboard Bare ? How Much did the New Technical Board Cost to Set Up and Run? Is it Really Needed ? And Should It Take Preference Over Player Recruitment ? Perhaps the Most Important Question Should Be What About The Fans? Owners like Players Come and Go, but it's the Fans Which Keep the Club Alive, It's Their Money and Loyalty which is the Life Blood of Any Club, and Don't they Deserve the Best, From Any Owner Who Ever They May Be?

I think it’s only a minority of “fans” who would question the clubs ownership, personally I think it’s great that they are putting all the infrastructure in place, the Nest and Padle courts generate income which helps us to become more self financing.

Of course there is a fine balance between spending on players and infrastructure but once all the infrastructure is in place we will hopefully be future proofed and the shift will go more towards the playing staff.

I’m happy with the owners compared to what we’ve had in the recent past. Let’s not talk our club down the glass is half full.

How Much Infrastructure Does The Club Need? The Board keeps coming up with New Fangled Ideas, But Poor Recruitment could see the Magpies Struggle.

What's the Point on having the Best Pitch in League 2 or Heaven Forbid the National League? It seems someone on the Board has ideas above their Station.

If Notts were a Premier League Team, With Premier League Money, then Maybe the Paddle Courts and the Nest and a Hybrid Pitch would be worth the Investment.

But Notts Aren't Premier League, at the Moment they are just a Struggling League 2 side, who's only Ambition is to Stay in the Football League.

The First two ideas can't be bringing in that Much Money or if they are it appears that money as been Invested in the Technical Board Rather than a Hiring an Experienced EFL

Coach and Players who are at a Standard of Pushing the Magpies up to League 1 and Possibly One Day the Championship.

I don't think I can speak for the majority of fans, even though on match days I speak to a large portion, and I do see a lot of opinions being expressed on social media of different stances when it comes to where they feel Notts are at. However, I would agree that it is the minority who question what the Reedtz are doing, have done, and where money has been spent.

"The Nest" was very positively received, with only a few comments about fans rather seeing the money spent on the pitch. When our form became poor last season, and fans felt we wouldn't reach the playoffs, I did notice a lot of people start to moan about how they wouldn't use The Nest, how it was a waste of money, and how the club wasn't moving forward, etc.

Promotion for me shouldn't be rushed, because we need to earn it, and spending money to make money at this level is smart business.

It's easier to invest at this level than to do it when we have grown and are money-strapped.

We can spend all the money we have on recruitment, lose players, and become a Moneyball team. Even this won't automatically give Notts success, and it won't please fans. I feel we have done well to a point to retrain players because some teams in our position end up losing 3-5+ of the key squad players due to higher clubs wanting to take a gamble on the talent that our squad has.

Macaulay Langstaff he was always destined to leave us after our first season back in the English Football League.

Likewise, Alex Bass seemed likely to leave us, but it's just a shame it was after a single season. Prior to his signing for us, he had done well with AFC Wimbledon and proved to be the reason we signed him. Losing players like Aaron Nemane and Dan Crowley, while good players, aren't exactly major losses. Our squad could have easily been dismantled after promotion back or after the first season by bigger clubs.

My point being, teams are able to do this with their resources and without selling assets or creating revenue streams. You won't be able to spend big on assembling a squad.

The only thing I feel right now that can attract fair criticism is how we have priced out fans and have started to see a decline in attendance because of it. I am not convinced it's largely due to our poor start or staggering performances; I feel the price increase is negative and comes at the cost of picking up floating fans.

Yet I see no harm in building and investing in ways to bring in money that will eventually become self-sustaining and very profitable. Which the club could eventually use to further our club and sign the best possible players.

A field where dreams become reality.

A lot of these points have been discussed at length already. But in addition to the above, we can only spend a certain proportion of our turnover on players in L1 and L2. Investments like the padel courts and the Nest are therefore aimed at increasing our turnover so we can then spend more money on the team.

How well we're spending on the squad is another debate entirely. We clearly haven't spent our budget yet, so hopefully we'll have one or two players through the door who genuinely strengthen us in the next week.

I do like some of the improvements that the owners have made, the infrastructure improvements to the stadium, such as the safe standing area. The Nest will become a money maker when it starts making a profit after the money spent to build it is paid for, same goes for the paddle courts.

Whether the Nest and the paddle courts were necessary, I do think that they are popular & well used & attended., however, as far as the Hybrid pitch at ML is concerned, I do have reservations about its construction at this point in time. Wrexham didn't feel a need for one until they reached the Championship.

A new Hybrid pitch is also being installed at the Highfields training area in a joint venture with the University of Nottingham.

League 2 clubs are allowed to spend 50% of their turnover on player related expenditure, which includes wages, transfers, and agents' fees.

If the club invests wisely in good quality players, that investment can pay dividends in several ways. The Club has a much better chance of achieving promotion & if they do, the players in turn will become more valuable. If the Club is doing well, the club will earn more revenue through the turnstiles. The club will also earn more TV revenue. The Club will also earn more in advertising & merchandise sales.

So investing for success on the field of play does have a big payoff by swelling the financial coffers, which in turn increases the turnover & revenue that can be further used to invest more on even better players.

the issue is the owners would not win if they spent all the budget on the squad, because people would soon want what other clubs have. notts had one of the best fan zones early on, beneath the top leagues and that is something we should be proud of. that had been a huge hit, its always busy on match days and must be generating a good whack of money for the club to use in other areas. maybe the club is focusing on these side projects as means to afford better players?

i dont think they would put anything at the cost of the team or promotion.

i have also heard more praise for how we are improving the infrastructure than i have heard anything about it should be spent on players.
