Good morning, it’s a dull grey Bank Holiday Monday, Bank Holidays mean nothing when you are retired, we generally avoid going anywhere and leave the roads free for working folk, I remember how precious an extra day off work was.

So how is everyone, I hope we are all healthy and looking forward to the play offs? Sympathy for poor @super_ram after Derby just missed out, next year mate eh?

Have a great day everyone, let us know what you’re up to today.

Hello and welcome to retirement Tuesday, the day after bank holiday Monday 😀 Just had a weekend in Skeg Vagas as Mrs P wanted to take Isabella our grand daughter to see K Pop at the Embassy Theatre, she didn't know and when the two of them went in, as you can imagine Isabella went crazy happy as she loves K Pop music at the moment. I was left literally holding the baby as I had our youngest grand daughter Imagine for the evening. So a good time was had by all.

Fortunately I was able to pull in the Bristol game and jump on the train to Skeg Vagas afterwards.

I have to agree @Fan of Big Tone that Derby County were unlucky not to get to the playoffs, Mrs P's dad Gordon is an avid fan and used to attend regularly, sympathy with @super_ram also.

Horses done this morning, washing hung out, just the grass to mow, i don't know about retirement, I'm doing more now than I ever did at work, and it's longer hours 😅

Thought for the day.

Hope but never expect, look forward but never wait.

I was very happy, when I noticed Derby were winning 1-0 and found themselves in the playoffs. I watched Notts, then noticed Sheffield United had won 2-1. Super isn't that bothered, because he wants Derby to be good enough for promotion and he realises just how far they have come in recent years. It's nice to see them at the upper end of the table, and I am very sure they will do just as well next season.

Today, I have finished off some new resources but I temporarily stopped to pop over a lasnaga that Cheeky had made, along with two meals from Mark C.

I'm absolutely knackered, and that is because when I went to my dads. He stood near his back garden, using a strimmer like he was the grim reaper. Bless him, he didn't seem very stable and thankfully no arguments came from me taking over. I wished I had felt better to stay longer, but it was nice to see him. Coming home, I was struggling to move. I hadn't eaten, so that is part of it but Cheeky had to come meet me up. I am fine, I just need to make sure I have something, and don't forget.

You absolutely need to look after yourself @Chris so that you can help our dad. I hope @super_ram enjoyed his lasagne, I think he shouldn’t be too worried about gardening, let it grow wild it’s good for wildlife, ask David Attenborough. The little critters don’t like perfectly manicured lawns etc., bugs and things thrive in unkempt gardens which is good for birds as they come and forage for them. That’s my excuse for not gardening anyway. 😂
