Drissa Traoré - Should he be tried?

Garry Thompson played upfront, he did well. It was a surprising tactic change which worked. Another was the addition of Drissa Traoré in the Scunthorpe game and he did well from all accounts I have heard from. He looked to have a decent debut and the pass of the season was made!

Now I think he should be given a go or at least somewhat a run.

We are missing that quality which a decent passer could do, he might have more quality in the bank. The french side he previously played for, their fans felt he was too good for a league one team. Why isn't he getting into the side? I don't think any of our midfield are irreplaceable.

How do you view this lad?

i really dont know why derry does not give him a league debut.

i fancied his chances after his pass, i dont think he should drop people who are performing just to make way but i dont believe any of our cms are setting themselves up to start every game. noble is good but he does not always contribute and gary jones looks like he could use a rest but he adds the bulk and passing which others dont seem to have.

No point having players tied to cup games.

Form can help the cup matches where the club can make money, its the league where we need to see players being consistant. Sadly, I do not think some who are being selected are, which is a shame.

The pass is the only thing I have seen of him, so to a point I will bow to others opinion on Drissa.

That said, I like the thought of putting him in for Accrington, if he does well, keep him in. Let Noble/Jones and anybody else fight to stick him back in the dugout.

Competition for places and togetherness is what will get us through the winter and keep us up the sharp end of this league IMO

I do hope we see more of him, we'll never know what he can do unless he's given the chance.

For me Garry Jones been superb, even with his own goal (very unlucky) but against weaker teams - we can afford to give him rest and to allow other players, not only Traore time onto the pitch.
