Kiwomya harbours play-off hope

<!--url{0}-->Chris Kiwomya feels Notts County can still finish the season in the play-offs after a 1-1 draw with Tranmere at Prenton Park.

Rovers looked to be heading back to the top of the table as Abdulai Bell-Baggie's first career league goal gave the home side a 29th-minute lead.

But back came County and Neal Bishop headed in a second-half equaliser that gives Kiwomya hope that there is more to come from his side.

"We are sat in the changing room disappointed," Kiwomya said. "They are a good team, but I thought we deserved to win.

"We asked all the questions and I thought we were the better team especially in the second half. Maybe we just didn't have that rub of the green that you need at times.

"Overall it's disappointing but we'll have to take the point. Coming here is hard, at half-time they were top of the league, so it's a point that we'll have to take.

"I put a little bit more pressure on myself to do even better since taking over last Friday. I enjoy it. There a lot of good players in that changing room, but sometimes you need that killer instinct.

"I think we're down to 12 games now so the games that are coming up are vitally important.

"But we can do it. We've got good enough players. I'm confident we can have a late charge, we've still got a good chance."

I personally haven't given up hopes, I don't think I will until it's impossible. I've said it before we are a side who make our own work, we never have it plain sailing and that's probably when we play better. The exceptions dropping might lift some of the pressure, if we have a go that's all we can ask and next season hopefully we can learn from the mistakes of this season. We need to sort the marking issues out, if we allow Carlisle or Leyton to score so easily I'll be taking my crutches onto the field and show them how it's done!! Right after I fall over and bust my knee again. LOL

Chase the dream county! It's important for you to reach above the limits and restrictions you find, I wouldn't like United to give up on the Premiership title due to a bad run. Go down fighting!

I'm not expecting us to reach play-offs but it would be nice to get that far. We are getting back into winning and drawing, so at least its heading closer towards the play-off positions.

I don't think we would manage in the championship if we went up though, i think the team needs to be built up abit more before we are ready. Maybe next year :)

I can't argue with any of the above.Until it's mathematically impossible keep chasing the dream, but I agree with Cheeky, but with a few good signings you could be ok..

It's never over until the fat lady sings, we still have a chance and while we have I will remain positive. We are definitely coming back into form since CK took charge so you never know where that could take us. The players are starting to show some belief and as we know confidence is a very big thing in football.

Its not over yet. Playoffs are there for the taking. Everyone beating everyone at the moment. Some good clashes to come in the top ten yet, each taking points off each other. Still feel we will be there. If we are and we get to the final, we will go up.
