I watched some of the Notts Ladies v Arsenal Ladies last night on BT Sport and Notts Ladies scored a brilliant free kick, it was a crafty trick they had obviously practiced in training and it paid off.

A good attendance too 1,600

Pretty overrated to be fair, seems it caught a defection? Good goal mind but I have seen these things fail, which smashing towards goal are worth the praise but I just feel this is being built too highly.

I disagree with you there @notts-joe, I thought it was very well worked and every time I see it, it looks better. I just wish the guys could work out something like that.

When they work they look brilliant but when they don't everyone looks silly.

Either they aimed at it being seen as a wasted set piece or it was a ploy to cause confusion, yet nobody would go on about it if it happened in the Premiership for example.

Good goal, though takes from the actual set pieces are much harder.

Can't say it gets better for me. *Shrug

Pretty lucky on the deflection and bounce.

It was a well taken well rehearsed goal, it would never have happened in the men's game as players would have reacted quicker, one of the biggest differences between the two games are reaction times, when I coached a lades team it was incredibly difficult to get them to react and think re-actively, they near enough got there but they were by no means at the level of men
