Breaking Bad anyone...

After reading the article below it of course reminded me that I need to re-watch Breaking Bad again soon.

We are at a time where drama on television is imo, at its peak. BB sits up there, again, imo as one of the best of all time. Gritty, funny, sad, compelling all at the same time.

Did you enjoy BB?

What is your all-time favourite drama and why?

I really enjoyed breaking bad back when it was on, they rushed the final parts but it was still good.

I have been watching the spin off, its actually far better in my opinion. Breaking bad always seemed a forced story to a point, yet the spin off focused on the problems leading up to Saul decision and I am looking forward to the second season. Where no doubt we will see more of the former cast of BB!

I love Breaking Bad. I've never been so glued to a TV series before. Series 5 suffered slightly with the producers ramming in extra episodes it didn't need, but the ending made it all worthwhile. It made me think of my work differently too - who is Walter, who is Jesse and who is Gus?

We're watching Lost now and really getting drawn into it, doubt anything will be as good as BB though.

Heroes before the BBC switched the time, which meant because I worked early hours back then I couldn't watch it.

This was when I would only watch shows as aired on TV because it felt 'special', now I just catch them online and beat knowing all the good bits. LOL - Also, Game of Thrones :)

I agree with this, I didn't like Breaking Bad until it was near the end. I hadn't even watched it enough to decide, yet I admit because of the subject and things it covered I had an negative opinion on it. Also, if you read the plot it sounds so unreal but it's brilliant.

I love 'Better Call Saul'.

It's a bit more humours and slow building, yet emotional and enjoyable. I really recommend it!

I was a bit sceptical of "Better Call Saul" to be honest, but I think you've won me over (doesn't take much, admittedly). Mike from BB is a boss, wouldn't mind watching him again.

Mike is brilliant in 'Better Call Saul', you get to see some good insights into him and his character. Whilst 'Jimmy' being 'Saul' takes you on a roller-coaster ride as to why he ended up taking the, lets say 'dodgy route'.

@DangerousSausage Lost is imo, the beginning of the 'immense' drama you can find out now. It literally tore up the rule book and made it up as it went along (literally in some cases!) Completely out there, but strangely compelling. (nothing to do with me fancying Kate -Evangeline Lilly or Juliet -Elizabeth Mitchell honestly)

GoT is brill, but too short series wise. When they know its good they should aim for more than 10 episodes per season!

Better Call Saul - Haven't had the chance to watch it yet. On my NAS ready to go, but currently watching GoT season 5 so maybe after that!

im not a fan of it tbh, its ok but i get bored of it.

I'm a big fan of Breaking Bad.  I was a bit of a hipster and started watching it when it was only mid-way through Season 2, so I enjoyed being able to pace watching each episode/season.

I love pretty much everything about it though!  The character progression is amazing, just going back one season you see how much they have changed.  The actors are also spot on, some of the camera shots are beautiful and the story is engaging with an underlying tone of dark humor.

Better Call Saul is also a good program, I was a bit skepitcal when it was first announced, but after watching the first episode that skepticism quickly faded away.

In terms of other TV shows, I'm going to miss Boardwalk Empire!
