Swindon Advertiser has been banned from County Ground for a long time after a fall out with the Chairman. Thought to be based around consistent negative reporting.


Media ban now more general with social media Fanzai site preferred option.


I do not use Fanzai, live 30 miles+ from Swindon and do feel rather detached from day to day happenings.

This made us a laughing stock and its bad business, if its to make a valid point stick to it but to back down so quickly shows how pathetically it was handled.

I felt quite ashamed because of this.

Why did you uplift the ban so quickly? That does seem odd. Bans on media presence does make a point but it must be your only option. I am guessing that's not the case here?

He might temper some of his views in future interviews as he learns his own role. He's only been a coach in this country before so he's not so used to having a microphone in front of him.

I guess that they must not have microphones in Holland, Hungary, Poland and Germany. More crap from Birtles.
