I missed the game today and am delighted with the win, but in a way it makes me even more angry that Fullarton was appointed instead of Cooper in January.

The performance was good, each player working for the squad and its certainly much more promising under Cooper. For me, the attacking play just needs to pause at the key moments, we waste the excellent build-up play.

If we just took a little more time, I think our finishing would he better.

3 goals two of which was disallowed.

I can't fault it. We look reasonable in defence, midfield strong and chances up top. COYP

Imagine Cooper having the same run of games that JF had...Yeovil, York, Daganam, Exeter oh gosh

The lessons Fullarton never learnt or didn't want to learn. Play creative players that give you time on the ball, giving the opposition something to think about and to push them back into their own defensive positions. So when you do lose possession, it's in a part of the field that does you less harm

I heard the Kop chant to Fullarton several times - always asking for a wave, all received boo's. Some will say fans didn't give JF a chance, but he didn't try to win anyone over a way from the press box.

Mark Cooper acknowledging the fans shows how support can be a big thing.

It encouraged the kop even more, and although it seems small - I think the relationship between fan and manager is important. In Cooper we trust!

My player ratings from today:

Loach - 7 - Did what he had to do well.
Hewitt - 6- Better than his last few games at right back.
Edwards - 7 - Stuck to the basics and won everything.
Hollis - 8* - Barely put a foot wrong, looks a different player with Eddie alongside.
Audel - 7 - Strong in the challenge, got forward at every opportunity.
Aborah - 7 - Played a big part in us keeping possession much better.
Noble - 6 - A bit out of it at times but produced the bit of quality that decided the game.
Atkinson 6 - Covered a lot of ground and battled well.
Valencic - 5.5 - Not bad, but struggled to get into the game.
Stead - 6 - Offered a target up front.
Campbell - 6 - Tried hard, always looking for the ball.

McLeod - 5.5 - No real chance to impress.
Sharpe - n/a

Hardly a vintage performance against a nasty side clearly intent on a 0-0 draw, but we kept going and won the sort of game we have been losing lately. Cooper has certainly got a bit of organisation into the team, still a long way to go but at last things are looking up.

Was limited to following the clubs Facebook updates today whilst out with the wife, but very glad to see that we had won.

Safe to say, everyone at TK Maxx at the time of our goal was aware someone had scored.

pleased by the performance and result.

there only seemed like one team who would be victorious, though i did think for awhile we may just be unlucky enough to draw. stevenage was very poor, notts played well. some players looked lost tho.

I was going to write the other night all that Cooper needs is a win behind him.

Today he got that and I felt the whole squad which took part performed to an acceptable level. The determination to avoid frustration, fights with Stevenage players and buckle down highlighted the major change which we have under gone since a proper manager was appointed. The negativity around meadow lane has gone, along with watching half hearted performance or a squad with no idea how to play. Take a bow Mark Cooper, now lets see what he can do in the summer if we can keep him.
