Thanks for that Piethagoram, a really enjoyable read which brought back some great memories.  If only we had that calibre of player to call on these days!  Interesting to note that quite a few of them went on to pretty mundane careers once they had retired, nothing like the insane money that even moderate players can earn at the top level nowadays.

Interesting obituary on Jim.

Favourite players Pedro,Masson, Harkouk and Benjy.

Some years back, believed Paul Hooks was a bus driver on Trent Barton Cotgrave connection.

On another board, a Gotham based Pie mentioned that Benjy read the Notts messageboards, whilst visiting Gotham. Still wish he could be a match day guest someday, but either Elite or Pies4u, said he prefers to stay in the  background.
