We've only announced one so far, Home to Sunderland 23rd July

I think i've seen where we're going to play Ilkeston F.C. . We've also got a testimonial game arranged for Mike Edwards, against the neighbours over the Trent. ????

Yeah, I was going to add Long Eaton.

It's good that we play local teams, as it helps them receive revenue but I'm hoping for some better friendlies - ones which will actually test our squad and not just be a way for us to increase fitness. Plus on the back of last season, it would be nice to have more at Meadow Lane - get the fans really excited about the new season (if we can approach them correctly).

The Rams are  off to The Algarve in Portugal on 13th  July till 20th July. The senior,under 21's and under 18's  will all play at least one game. The Rams are sending a team to Chesterfield to play in a testimonial for Shane Nicholson on 26th July. The following night they play Sheff Utd at Bramall Lane. Further details are to be confimed

They need to play teams that will stretch them without causing injury.

In the resent past we have played local teams and won in 1st gear,

or teams where opponents want to make a name for themselves and ended up with players being injured.

A loss to Sunderland will tell us far more about the squad than a big win at Long Eaton.

Notts have announced a friendly against Walsall on Tuesday 26th July, they are announcing a friendly to be played 31st of july in 'days not weeks'

My lot also take on the Saddlers on Saturday 23rd July at their place.Perhaps @sadlad could comment if he attends.
