Knight-Percival next signing ?

Lionel Messi 5ft5 or maybe 5ft6 didn't he out jump Rio in a champions league game 4 years back or more to score the winner ?

Its all about the leap not the height izale 6ft how many headers as he won all season ?

duffy has expierence of defending in a higher league against better strikers.

Carl Dickinson can also play Centre back he's only 6ft not much bigger then Duffy I don't agree with this height.

If you can read the game have good postional sense decent fullbacks who stop crosses and close down wingers quick.

Its then a lot harder to jus hit balls in the box I also belive we still be looking for another centre back.

Cannavaro wasn't he only 5ft odd another good defender who's made a career of being under 6ft

The last really decent centre half that we had who could do that was Colin Foster and he was 6ft 4.

Look at the Man Utd sides of the last 25 years, they always had a centre half of at least 6ft 3in. Same with the last 4 English sides to win the champions league.

Our best centre half of the last 25 years was also 6ft 3.

I disagree holis 6ft3 can't head a ball to save his life at times I'd rather have Cannavaro 5ft something.

over a 6ft2 Rio Ferdinand any day of the week in my view.

How many games did Cannavaro play for an English club in a flat back four?

Ferdinand also had Vidic alongside him who was a far better defender, Ferdinand was more of a ball player.

And Hollis is just a useless footballer full stop. Non league quality, nothing more.

I belive if Duffy has played 100 + games at port vale at CB in what is just as physical league as league 2 he can hack it.

If he had not played at CB I'd be concerned he's also played for Wales if he can defend its a start.

If he can leap an win the ball and not get pushed over its a start I think every one of the defenders brought in are a better choice and that area has been looked at.

I also belive we still will be chasing one more Centre back to complete that part.

I agree, all the defenders brought in do look to be an improvement on what we had before and will certainly be an improvement. When Duffy played at centre half for Vale, he was paired with a more aerially dominant partner and even describes himself as a ball playing centre half.

Would be another good addition if we get him defence sorted then I feel just about getting game time together to get familiar with how each other play , how many feel the squad is looking really encouraging?

well @Fozzy youl be pleased to hear we are apparently chasing Lewis Nyatanga formerly Barnsley left sided centre back also Welsh like Duffy I belive but around 6ft2 or 6ft1

Yes and he is what I would call a proper centre back and more importantly he is a left sided player as well, so it would be a case of bye bye Hollis.

I'm hoping we get him because he has a great chant.

Do do dooo, Lewin Nyatanga (to the tune of come and do the conga)
