As today is the 151-year anniversary of the first Nottingham derby, I just thought I'd ask what your favourite match between Notts County and Nottingham Forest has been over the years? This can be league, cup or friendlies.

Now I'm a bit limited as there haven't been many encounters since I got into Notts (2006), but the Carling Cup game in August 2011 is my nomination. What a tense, pulsating game that was. As gutted as I was to lose (especially when Lee Hughes skied his penalty when he could have sealed it), I had to applaud at the end just for the entertainment they served up.

And to think they were thinking of postponing the game, as the "riots" were going on across the country. Tense times, them were.

February 12th 1994, otherwise known as 'Sir Charlie Palmer Day'. No question at all.

I'm old enough to remember Notts winning a few games against the F word, but this day has always stood out! Brilliant game in a brilliant season, the entertainment served up at the Lane that season hasn't been bettered since, in my eyes.
