For a friendly both teams put on a good spectacleΒ for Nottingham football.

I am more confident from the Notts perspective due to the way we played, we had several very good chances which came from runs. Forest had some good opportunitiesΒ where they just passed through us and most was wasted. It was a good game though, both teams gave 100% and for a friendly you cannot beat that.

Rob Milsom and Kyle Hawkridge looked good to me.

I'm ready, I don't expect to be seeing fireworks from the off but I think we'll be better this season.

Key for us is to remain injury free.

I say just below play-offs, perhaps we could sneak into them. Doing better than Mansfield will do me fine mind.

these notts fans moaning on social media will react what forest fans do if we win. i am a bit disappointed that its been decided to play for a cup in honour of derek pavis, i think its not warranted and that the minutes applause would be good enough. we all know if we win notts fans will big it up and if we lose they will moan. just like the forest fans who say they dont care despite getting tickets.

im not really interested in what the score will be!

Why would you say, as a Notts fan that you don't care what the result will be?.... As a forest fan, I love these sorts of games. When forest, play the likes of Notts and Mansfield, it's fantastic for Nottinghamshire football. It brings the whole of Notts together. I personally think, Β that we all should try and get the Nottinghamshire cup back,????Β that would be brilliant.Β

They Β could be classed asΒ friendlies, but at the same time, we would be competing for a massive shiney new trophy. I believe, thatΒ when we play a football match, Β we should be doing everything in our powers to win every match!!! And it makes me mad to hear people like yourself, thinking "aww well, it's only a friendly". We turned out in force, to honour a man who loved County,Β and had a bit of a soft spot for Forest. So show a bit of respect. RIP Mr PavisΒ

That goes for us aswell mate, we've already lost Matty Cash and Wardy, that's being back on the City Ground turf. The injury hoodoo strikes again soonΒ

Plus Britt. Your new owner really needs to invest wisely, at the moment I'd say Forest are very much weaker than last season.

Mind I haven't kept tabs on your signings.

The results of friendlies really don'tΒ matter. Beating a team who had substituted most of their first team with trialists doesn't mean a lot. And even if we'd won, there would always be the suspiscion that your boys weren't quite giving 100%. It's always fun to win, and of course they give the players the chance to get used to playing together, but these matches ultimately mean nothing. I've seen Notts sweep everyone aside in pre-season, Premier League teams included, and then get relegated.

A competitive match, of course, would be another matter entirely...Β B)

friendlies are about fitness and getting the team playing as one, provided they try and play well. results dont matter to me.
