Defence is a problem

Featured Replies

The defence will sort itself if you put a decent keeper behind it and a good defensive midfielder in front of it! The back four although far from perfect is adequate for the division, but they need a keeper to bellow at them, alert them to threats and command his box, plus they also need a bit of a shield in front. Without that and we are back to the Moniz way of no protection at all in front, but at least they had a decent keeper behind.

The defence would be better if a keeper was being more vocal. Ross Fitzsimons acts like he's fallen asleep vocally and he never reacts like you would expect after conceding a goal.

There's no denying it is.

It's concerning the amount of goals Ross Fitzsimons has shipped past himself, it's hard to defend and I expect better from the whole squad.

Harry Kewell must believe Ross Fitzsimons would be okay, he has spoken about not bringing in a keeper and the two new signings would back this up.

Notts almost has a complete new defence.

I hope things can start to improve from here because I don't feel it's just the defence or midfield that is the issue.

This is madness, there's no backup and he's performing inadequately.

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.
