  1. I honestly feel if Notts had played better, we might have actually gotten something from the game. The early signs was good, however Notts tended to work themselves into silly areas on the pitch and chances would be wasted. At the back, Notts looked much stronger until we conceded and then again every chance Forest Green had it looked like they would score. The thing is, I didn't actually rate them. I praise them for the win, as they played well as a team but we gifted them the game. At 2-1, Notts should commit too many men forward and although I felt like Notts wouldn't score - they had a spell where chances was created. The only striker on the pitch who looked focused was Jon Stead. However, Kane Hemmings and Kristian Dennis had little service and this is something Harry Kewell must work on.
  2. My prediction would be a goalless draw or 1-1. I'm not sure what to expect but the club needs to be positive, they need to work together and most importantly all the players need to give 100%. This season could be salvaged and a win could help but it's very hard to see how it would come. Hopefully Harry Kewell can hit the ground running and get the best out of the players. Let's make the KOP loud and proud tomorrow.
  3. The games more about not conceding silly goals or giving points a way, I can see it being tougher since Kevin Nolan isn't there now. It will be curious to know if the training has changed at all? The approach needs to be perfect, I don't have much faith in Steve Chettle as a manager. Just have to avoid any more damage being done to the squad. No prediction just yet, but it could be a dull game for both teams.
  4. Duffy's pose. ???? Arrogance and nervousness rolled into one that. Plus despite his foot being the closest to the ball, he wouldn't be able to take it off that man dressed as a soldier.
  5. Gary Bowyer, no... please no... I feel utterly depressed now *sigh
  6. Kevin Nolan shares his post-match thoughts at Sincil Bank.
  7. Managers thoughts...
  8. It sounds like Notts have adjusted their positional play to cope with the Lincoln attack, however its limiting our own attack. 3-1.... You can't sit back and defend, expecting that a goal will come from nothing. Disappointing yet again by Notts, they should try to get Enzio on the ball and try to make better movement from there. There's just no support, no defending and no output in attack. Kevin Nolan will surely be disappointed and under more pressure.
  9. 1-1... It sounds like a very good training ground style free kick that flew us back to level terms.
  10. 1-0 down already, the best start imaginal by Notts (sarcasm). If we go into the second half like this, maybe it wouldn't be that much of a set back but Notts needs to wake up.
  11. He's a manager that can transform the club if we allow him. Give him time, he deserved it last season and if things fail - for me it will be the players more than Kevin Nolan's fault. If he continues to play someone, surely they should step up and thank the managers faith in their ability? A good manager may not risk separating the players if he can get a response and I think KN hopes for this happen. He does look to be hurting but blaming the strikers only seems deluded because the pressure if only from the back. It's them failing us! We could have Ronaldo and Messi and they'd make little difference if Richard Duffy decides to pass straight to the opposition as if he's @NcfcT4.
  12. I think a draw could be plausible if we cancel each other, I do expect the defence to finally respond to Kevin Nolan's demands and of course our own. It just depends if a stupid mistake ends up costing us. I'd say 1-1 myself, quite optimistic about that.
  13. Nightmare and a joke, it was hard watching this with Jake earlier.
  14. You would hope this is the game that makes the Notts players take this season more seriously, the pre-season mode is over but after failing to beat Newport County - I can't see how Notts can beat an inform Lincoln City side. I'm struggling to say anything more positive than this, it's unlikely we will do better than a draw.
  15. Richard Duffy can't be excused for his weak defending, I thought during the pre-season he looked alright but it's the same old Duffy. He's not good enough, he costs us and I swear those that defend him blindly annoy the life out of me. He's turned this game in favour of a weak club that we was controlling before he gifted the game. 2-1, not good enough Notts.
  16. Notts XI: Ross Fitzsimons, Elliot Hewitt, Richard Duffy, Shaun Brisley, Dan Jones, David Vaughan, Nathan Thomas, Enzio Boldewijn, Noor Husin, Kane Hemminga and Jon Stead. Bench: Max Culverwell, Pierce Bird, Lewis Alessandra, Kristian Dennis, Andy Kellett, Terry Hawkridge and Tom Crawford. COYP!
  17. Kevin Nolan will sort it out, there's been big improvements and I just hope come the day when we discuss who should be released we reflect on the players who have truly let Notts down. Nolan IN too.
  18. A couple of Newport County fans I have spoken to have said how they're not that impressed with their own side but that they work hard to at least get a point. I think they've won one, drawn another and lost. Hopefully the confidence of our players can be focused on getting the points Notts needs. I think the score will be narrow, so maybe 1-0.
  19. Notts just needs to start as they did against Yeovil, yet ensure they're marking and aware at the back. If the players can make the work rate within the first 30 minutes, I think Notts will get their rewards but it's all dependant on Fitzsimons and the defence. I can't see Newport throwing bodies like Yeovil did at us, so it will be a completely different game.
  20. Good blog post @Piethagoram, I would actively encourage you to continue posting entries.

  23. I'm sure it's effected a lot of fans, I'm just getting fed up of certain things and how people react. It's not for anyone to pass judgement but sod those that do.
