  1. Some of the funniest memories I have is of watching this with my parents. I also love Steptoe and Son. Note: The description on Youtube reads: "For UK based viewers (or those who know their way round a VPN) the full version of this is available on BBC iPlayer until July 31st 2024."
  2. Well, I think if we do win Tranmere Rovers that potential victory should push us much closer to where most fans would feel happier. Much depends on the other scores, but the fact a lot of fans are looking forward to games - that speaks volumes for me. I don't have much concern about if we have the quality to score, but I have seen change my thoughts on if we do need reinforcements in defence. We probably could do with a new CB, but we might be able to wait until January. Progress is being made in the right direction, demonstrating the necessary determination to secure a decisive victory. This approach would greatly simplify matters by making it harder for opponents to catch up. We are doing well, League Two does take time to re-establish yourself. Yet we have a lot of quality and it all comes down to hard work.
  3. I am very happy with this news myself, as I thought he had scored. I didn't see the reflection, as I said at the time @super_pie kept complaining I hadn't seen the deflection it took of the players foot. Having seen the replies of the goal, I still only think it was a minor touch and looked to be going in. Right call for me.
  4. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, @NorthPie. I hope you enjoy being a part of our Notts County community.
  5. There's been some very good articles put out, old features have returned, and it's a case of adjusting to fit others in. I don't know how many members actively read them, well, aside from the comments and interactions. There are some regular faces I don't remember seeing at all in the area, which is something I would like to actively encourage. I get that it's not for everyone, but it's one way for improvements to come. Thank you to everyone who does comment, as it's one way lurkers are won over. It's an excellent recruitment area with the call to action and, I am trying my best to write them every time I do upload a new publication. Some are the same plug, but I will always try to word them differently.
  6. I am curious what people think, if Notts needs to sign one or more to cover? We are yet to see what Ollie Tipton brings to the team, and Richard Brindley has done superbly in the middle of the three CB's. However, we may need cover in this area and with Geraldo Bajrami's injury, I could see Tipton playing in the DM/CB role when needed. Despite the feeling of needing a CB who is tall and can play the ball out. I have a feeling we won't bring anyone in, and I am fine with that. As we can review the situation in January. Thoughts?
  7. I'm not going anywhere, I must spend longer studying the teams because this is a shambles of a start for me.
  8. There’s a special feeling around the club right now. The bond between the players, club, and fans is stronger than ever. It’s important for us to do well on the field, but it’s also important for us to enjoy the football. We can talk about key match moments and reflect on performances, but at the end of the day, we have a squad we’ve wanted for years. The club feels like we’re on the up. Games are exciting to attend because we’re making the stands echo with our support. It’s something the players appreciate. Just how much are you enjoying Notts right now? What are your thoughts on our fans’ support at games this season? Let us know in the comments below!
  9. Pass, I think when we need to find a striker there will be far better options out there. None of the Doncaster players impressed me, if I was coming up from the National League team with money to throw, and I could say any of their players. I wouldn't waste a penny of it, not even if they signed for free.
  10. I prefer the change, I can't deny that when I listened to the Morecambe match how much nicer it felt. Adam Hassell and Dave Bracegirdle are perfectly fine; I feel Adam will grow given the time and experience. Dave is superb; he's just a warm voice to listen to. I like that they're genuine and not overreacting for the sake of it. I'm not saying Charlie Slater wasn't, but there were times he threw silly phrases out that stuck with me and I did find it hard to listen to him. I think he grew out of that last season. Yet before that, I would compare him to a school chalk board. Screeching nonsense just made me want to turn off. I know others who have expressed this but don't say it because they feel you can't go against the grain. Honesty is my best policy.
