  1. We only played well for what like? 10-15 minutes after we scored in the second half??? The whole game was disappointing, first half I nearly fell asleep. Considering our support that travelled, I felt let down by the performance. Their second goal was the icing on the cake, we need better next season. At least it highlights clearly who needs to leave/who to replace.
  2. Painful performance by Notts in the first half, you would think we was still in trouble. Newport aren't doing much better but why do we keep hoofing the bloody ball? We need better to see better in the second half.
  3. He might be a bigger asset next season, as he did come into consistency towards the end and offered us quite a bit in terms of attacking. We'll have to see who extends their stay and who leaves, it's going to be interesting.

  6. There's been fireworks on Meadow Lane quite a few times, even Forest have done displays and many others clubs. I think there should have been a warning, as I heard young children crying and scared - I heard someone shout 'Is it ISIS?' and not in a joking sort of way. However, most seemed to enjoy them and I thought it was pretty harmless. Just needed a warning, as I didn't expect the loud noise and the smoke did make it hard to breathe.
  7. I think his beeper is small and pocket sized, he once shown me it at one of the club events. I don't recall it being yellow, though what we see in the video is probably something a bit more technical since it plugs into the soundboard.

With the players lined up on the Meadow Lane pitch not far from the touchline in front of the Derek Pavis stand, they had their backs turned to the display on the centre circle. And right at the end, loud explosion from the cannons startled both sets of players, some of whom visibly flinched - cue much amusement from the crowd. 14. Duffy hasn't convinced me that he's deserving of a new deal. I would hope that we can find better, with Hollis likely to be around - I just don't feel we can afford to keep Duffy as a backup up because I think he'll end up spending most of his time out of the squad next season. If he manages to retain a place, this would say a lot about the quality of signings made. We need better, much better.
  15. I spoke to numerous Notts fans on Saturday, only Barry who I interviewed on 'Meet the Fans' said that Milsom deserved to be named the Player of the Season. I honestly feel most of the players have been largely inconsistent, yet he's been the one player that has featured more than others to an acceptable level. That said, I think the award probably should have been dropped this season - set the level for next season. Players only have to give 100%, so the bar isn't set very high in terms of standard or quality.

  20. Notts County have ended their programme of League Two home fixtures this season on a winning note after a 1-0 win over Blackpool at Meadow Lane on Saturday. Centre-half Richard Duffy's fourth goal of the season was all that separated the two sides as he headed into an unguarded net on 34 minutes after Blackpool goalkeeper Sam Slocombe had kept out Jorge Grant's free-kick. Pride of Nottingham was at Meadow Lane for the game and spoke to a number of fans - as it was the last home game of the season, we asked them a number of "review" type questions, such as who their favourite player has been this campaign, how many home games they've been to and so on. Here is the video, embedded from YouTube, for your enjoyment. Share your thoughts on the video, the questions, and the game on Pride of Nottingham's forum.
  21. Those fireworks! I almost dropped my camera and suffered a heart attack!!! It was an interesting build up, really enjoyed it. I spoke to quite a few people as per usual, however with the group picture it felt like a nice way to end the season. The game itself was impressive for me, I felt we was up for it and each player contributed towards something on the pitch. Blackpool never really looked a threat to me! Collin seemed decent in goal, yes he did a few wobbles but nothing serious. Dickinson played alright, much better than normal and wasn't always beaten for the ball or left for dead by a pacey player. Really, we should have won more comfortably. I didn't appreciate Richard Duffy's outburst towards Adam Collin mind, plus a few minutes after he swore at Haydn Hollis. Then again, we could say our Player of the Season was lucky not to have been sent off. The game had literally everything!
  22. It was a good team performance, I felt Notts did to Blackpool what Pompey did to us. We deserved the win, I don't recall them troubling us much. COYP!
