I chose Super over Coca-Cola, along with two bottles of DnB and a pack of corderal with vitamin B, C, D, Iron and Zinc. It was nice to be able to get over to see him, I would have dragged myself in the heat if I had felt well enough but today felt just right. He was very cheerful, and more like himself. Still don't see him as often on his laptop, but we did watch Brazil vs Japan in the first half and rushed home, because Jake hoped to see them beat Brazil. It's been a strange few days, but certainly nice to have stepped out. Sometime this week, I'll be making him various meals and taking more DnB rounds since he's become mad on it.

Well, I am looking forward to this and I am not that bothered that we have played them not so long ago. I am all for us playing Forest pre-season, as it's good to see how we compare with our neighbours and if we play for the County Cup or whatever it is called these days it would be nice. It's a good thing for the city, despite not liking Forest. I can respect what they have done, and appreciate their genuine fans.

The service status page now sends alert emails when something is going on, and I will be sure to maintain the page when things do happen. Some new features will be in testing mode on the live site shortly, and others will become the norm like my ehancement to the desktop's navigation and the history section. =) Stay tuned for more updates.

Despite the accidents and losses to our fan base, I am looking forward to Stevenage. I was present when some of our fans were hit by cars, trying to go over the busy road and it was awful. It's a shame because I did enjoy going to watch them, and will do again but that will be in the back of my mind. The reason I like Stevenage is it isn't difficult to get to, the parking is convenient and most of the games have always been a nice sunny afternoon. There're not many fix releases that bring back memories; the only other is Alan Hardy banging on about how a certain person was going to go far but has caused multiple relegations. I thought about going to The Nest the other day, but I didn't due to the heat. I do look forward to the fixtures release but not many hold memories for me.

Quite the strong Irish accent, he seems very levelheaded and focused on pushing his career on. Seems to know where the back of the net is, so it is very promising.

It would be nice to grab an early upset in the League Cup, but the focus more so has to be remaining in League One. Still, it will be a chance to start a few players who could be in contention for the starting XI, whilst allowing more favourable players a chance to get minutes in without things being pressured. I am quite happy with the draw, because it's a different team and will be somewhere some of our fans haven't seen Notts play in awhile if at all.

For me, it's a good time to be playing Leicester City because they will still have a lot of the negativity about their relegation and some of their fans are still having wobbles about it now. I honestly think they'll start off slow, and potentially may struggle. They still have some good players, and should be able to adapt in time, but I think for us going in confident, organised and showing no fear may give us a boost. The opening games could be literally any team, and I would still feel we'd be fine. You have to make the most of them, and sometimes tough starts can wake teams up. It should be a good game, so let's look forward to hosting the former Premier League winners.

If I remember right, he's from Swindon so it makes a lot of sense. I stopped tracking him after he retired, so I have no idea about his coaching but if it as a goalkeeper coach there might be better options. Swindon after last season needs to find someone who can improve the back line and get the most out of their keepers.

Looking forward to seeing how he does, to command a fee and for us to want to bring him in must mean he has something about himself. At 20, there's a lot of players we have that could help him on his journey and hopefully we have unearthed a hidden gem for a good fee. Welcome to Meadow Lane, Darius Lipsiuc. Shall we call him Lipsync for easy pronunciation? At least at first. 🙄

I didn't, I listened to Kate and Jake who thought it might still be a bit warm for me but I did go to the shop to pick up Super, some DnB and a bottle of Coke. I will take them round either tomorrow or Monday for sure, he seems to be enjoying the warmer weather and seems to be more himself. Aside from that, I have just been coding and finishing off apps to add to this awesome place. PS. I have taken a step back, they'll have to email me if they want to resume because I really don't like the hassle. If they are genuine, their tone should be different, as I laid my thoughts out honestly and well it's not my loss at the end. This type of work could pay me well, and hopefully I can find a way to get back into working without hassle from the government (only issue is if I am sleepy or in pain that I can't be on my laptop).

I think I will try to have a walk to my dad and spend a bit of time with him today, it seems breezy and nice enough. I feel a little deflated today, as I have been working on custom jobs and helping (trying) some communities I care about. One doesn't seem to appreciate the amount of effort I have been putting in, and seems to be accepting my help under misleading pretences. There's only so long you can assume someone is busy, but I am close to declining my offer of help. I have made several custom applications, a plugin and a custom theme with little interaction from the owner. It's disappointing because I have honestly poured my heart and soul into this, I have been appointed an higher position and have other team members asking me about issues I have no capability to resolve because said person just doesn't communicate with me. They do seem geninuely busy to some extent, but the communication is very poor. Running and owning a website is a privilege, taking that responsability is something that requres propriority and it must extend to doing the right thing by others even if you are busy. Unfortunately, the security is low and the issues are quite high due to running an out-dated PHP version and I am not prepared to be messed around. People who inherit a successful site for free really should try harder to appreciate what someone else has built.

I am hoping it will cool off a bit so I can go see Super. If I can't, I'll give him a call and catch up but I do want him to give me a better idea of what he would like cheeky and me to make him meal wise. It doesn't put us out, and we would rather make things that he would fancy rather than a set menu. I will be making him some jelly, and if I can figure out how to get them to him whilst it's hot a couple of mini trifles. Still feeling like a crane has been using me to demonlish a building. Been trying to work on coding stuff, which is making good progress. I am very much looking forward to the new season. PS. Thank you for starting the discussion, Piethagoram. 👏🏻

I want to start this off by apologising for the recent downtime the site has experienced. Whilst I know members will understand, my goal is always to provide clear communication and part of the issue has been a learning curve because I had made a few mistakes with work I am doing on the dev site. Usually, this doesn't and shouldn't cause issues with the live site but one of my mistakes caused an inifity loop which really took it out of the server. So, why goodbye? No, my intention wasn't to clickbait those that care into thinking the worst. It's me announcing the brand new home page! But wait, there's more! (There will be more on this as I am rolling out many improvements to the Pride of Nottingham website). In addition to this, improvements have been made to our next match feature. It's had an overhaul in design, and several major improvements. When the new season begins, there will also be a button to vote for the Pride of Nottingham Man of the Match, so be sure to get your votes in! If you visit via a mobile, this won't excite you on bit but I have made improvements to the navigation by extending it. You may have noticed the colour shadows around comments? Well, the original poster of a topic gets one and then so does team members. This isn't to make any standout as being more important, it's just to help identify people based on their role and involvement in the discussion. I have also implemented a way whereby members can choose their theme by simply clicking a link, in the case below it will be a screenshot with the link attached. I highly encourage members to choose what they prefer; all have a light and dark mode. Some may have noticed I haven't been as active; this is due to spending the majority of my time coding. It's rather addictive, but I wanted to make headway with changes before the start of the season and things are going very well. I wouldn't worry at this stage, @Piethagoram. I do understand and share concerns, especially with the belief that Matt Dennis wants to move on but until things happen. It's a waiting game, and I am sure Notts are looking to recruit further quality to our team. With regards to money, I think we'll be fine with finding suitable strikers if we make movement in this area (which we should) but money isn't my worry. I am more concerned if we do end up needing two strikers, how much time will they need to settle? Matt Dennis did well last season to integrate, and I do like Lee Ndlovu (I don't want to be harsh) but I wouldn't see his role as being a prolific goalscorer. It would be great if he could, but I don't think that's his game. I think he's a contributer and someone who causes defences issues with his runs/pressing.

I am content with the monitoring of the issues found, and have decided that unless something changes. This incident will be marked as resolved, if something occurs down the line related I will simply re-open this but the problems seem to be addressed at this stage. Thanks for understanding.

Even after what I said, I hope he manages to continue playing but it's risky for Mansfield because his legs could go at any time. It's very rare for a footballer to be able to slow down the clock, and his playing days are nearing the end. This said, it's a good signing for Mansfield because they need a bit of experience. I won't boo him when we play Mansfield, I have no time for people like this and I hope other fans will just ignore him. It's a bit mindless to refer to him as one of our own, when he means nothing of what he said upon joining us. I do wonder what League One teams he claimed to have been interested in him, as I doubt they would have paid the wages we did for that single season he returned. It might only be slightly less, but I am inclined to believe it wasn't within the East Midlands area or near to Sheffield. Which leads me to believe we would have offered more just to secure his services, which for a League Two team newly re-establishing itself. A little loyality and honesty would have gone a long way, but he's made his decision and we know his true colours now. Red and yellow... NOT black and white.

I watched Crotia vs England, and the second half of England vs Ghana. I thought Ghana were a buch of dirty sods, they did some neat things but I grew tired of seeing the referee who needed shoulder pads to deal with his own intimidation of taller players. I don't want this to seem harsh, he did well in his deicisons but the lack of cards played into Ghana's clinical and dirty challenges. Their game plan was to scare players into mistakes, and if that didn't happen they would kick, push or outright slide in on them. I don't think England were good enough, and I don't think it can be used as an excuse for our own performance, but I do think it's true that Ghana should have tried to play actual football. Their fans came in good spirit, looked a great bunch but their players just wanted to kick and go on late on people. I can't really respect that from a team, and their keeper celebrating like they had won just seemed silly.

I used to watch international football games without missing a match, that's if I wasn't working. 1990 and 1994, they are too early for me to remember. I remember Euro 96's, rushing home from school because the games kicked off at 3pm. I hear me out, I felt encouraged by how England played and I thought losing to Germany was heartbreaking. Those Pizza Hut adverts felt quite cruel to Gareth Southgate, and I think if we had kept Terry Venables on we might have done better in 1998. Glenn Hoddle wasn't a bad choice to takeover, and I do recall feeling confident about us winning it. The Michael Owen debut is etched in my memory, how he made his darting run and gave us hope. How David Beckham got sent off for tripping Diego Simeone, who naturally made a meal of it. Yet, I felt the same frustration as the players and I think the 2002 World Cup, is where I lost faith in what was becoming known as the "Golden Generation". I do wonder if Terry had stayed on, what he would have gotten out of England. Hoddle seemed stricter, and less focused on game management for me. Venables seemed like someone who could lift a nation, Hoddle just tended to complain from what I remember. I did like Hoddle's time; he did get England to do well enough but he was always too hot headed for me.

I know people who live in warm countries who have visited the UK during heat waves, and they say it's gruelling. I don't like how people are picking on those who complain because it's natural, and it really has been very unplesant the past two days. It's caused me no end of pain, so I now that the warmth and cold impact me greatly. We get no chance to climatise to the conditions; it's just stuffy and humid. I get the frustration, as I would rather get on with it but it does become impactful. I am more opposed to complaints about the cold, and snow. There's not much we can do about either mind. Time to invest in a fridge that produces ice... If only...

We are going to end up with Sheffield Wednesday (A), followed by Stevenage (H), Wycombe (H) and then Reading (A).... If this comes true, don't think I can predict the future because I plucked them out of thin air.

I will be there, with my son, @super_ram, @BigNCFC and @KatrinaPIE. Mark (C) also expressed interest, but Mark (H) has a full car and I did offer to try to find a lift but I think it put him off. He's had a rough past month, and having lost my mum three years ago I know his pain. It would have been nice to have gotten him there, and to catch up as we watched a pre-season game.

The person who helped finish the migration has been assisting me with blocking bots. We are experiencing high numbers of these and have started to restrict their access. However, the dev site seems to have hit an infinity loop in one of the apps I have coded. I run a local server using a program called XAMPP, which didn't have this issue although I am trying to be painfully careful but it would seem to have played part of it. All resources will go through a final hardining and optimisation stage, although I have fixed the new apps which are yet to make their way here. I will be monitoring the server closely, and will ask my friend to check some of the things I have noticed if he would be as kind. I would like to say thank you to Rolland for his amazing help. It's a kindness that is very much appreciated.

Just a quick update for everyone: the Pride of Nottingham server has been experiencing some random periods of downtime and general unresponsiveness. I’m actively looking into the root cause and working through each possibility to narrow it down. At the moment, I can’t confirm the exact reason, but the ongoing heatwave may be contributing. I’ll know more once I’ve completed a few checks and will keep you all updated as soon as I have solid information. Thanks for your patience while I get this sorted.

@Pies79, I'll try to find out if it featured in the clubs official calendar, and if it does, I will try using my Photoshop magic to make sure it's of a quality worth printing. They used to release the image, but it's something that seems to be saved for official merch sales these days. Personally, I think people would still buy signed stuff especially on the back of the promotion and would like to see the squad photo shared with us fans.
