  1. Tone, I would try via the phone if the ticket office is taking orders. Mark and I are going down to the ground tomorrow to buy ours in person, despite Katrina making a few more games than me (I have only missed a couple), I have more allocated points than her. Even Jake does, though he's only attended a handful of clubs, but that's the away tickets. We're on about watching it at Mark's and just bothering with the home tie.
  2. I don't think this would be a good usage of my time, so I have conceded the idea. There is an amazing amount of support which I know is there, but I think focusing on subscriptions and donations might be a better means. Plenty of people offered interest in this; however, I do feel it would be a case of obtaining worthwhile prizes and the first might just break even. I don't think for a second that nobody cares, or that there's not that support there. It is solely down to the cost up front, and the time involved being big issues.
  3. 5 minutes in, I knew what type of referee we had. 10 minutes later, I couldn't believe how much he missed. The Nick Tsaroulla yellow had me baffled, re-watching it. I still feel like Tsaroulla was fouled. He clearly had a niggle from contact, rather than how he fell and even though he did not appeal that much, booking him for diving was a pathetic call from the supposed match official. The game was very exciting, and Notts played brilliantly within the first 45 minutes. Bristol Rovers had to result to pushing, pulling, some excellent defending but general poor antics that are very anti-football. Their form wasn't apparent as to how good they are, because I thought they were very average. Jodi Jones had his best game for Notts for awhile; he looked in the right frame of mind and really looked eager to contribute. It's a shame because I think defensively we managed the game well, midfield did their role but Alassana Jatta just disappointed me. There are some players who can be critised like Conor Grant, who I felt played an excellent role in the game but others who are overlooked. Jatta could have contributed more, he was just very average and looked uninterested at times. I felt the changes by Martin Paterson were just to save legs, too defensive and at the cost of attacking. Our second goal seemed perfectly fine, I didn't see it live but on replay and having seen the full match again it looked perfectly onside. The officials made some very poor calls, not seeing several hand balls. Their keeper, Young, went over the line and brought the ball back into play. Bliant pushing, shirt pulling, some wrestling moves and how Rovers always tried to pack the referee with blue shirts. Officials need to book teams for approaching them in large numbers. I counted 5 times watching the full game footage before I gave up. Whereas Notts sometimes approached with two players, and the official had a tantrum about it. Notts looked to speak for clarity, Rovers clearly unsporting but what do you expect from a team that finishes mid-table but celebrates like they have won the league after the game.
  4. We need to find a way to allow the flow of fans to leave at a more natural pace, my anxiety goes through the roof when everyone is rushing. Against Barnet, an old man pushed me three times for no reason when I was struggling to move, and I turned to him to ask where he felt I could go and that there wasn't any space. The annoyance is that he was by my side, and 100% just pushing is way through people. He wouldn't like it back, but I wouldn't dream of being that rude. Yet, I fear one day these ignorant types will cause me to dislocate my leg. I have to be very, very careful and whilst I am legitimately entitled to exiting in a different means. I don't act on it, and if I am able I will leave without using that alternative access. The Pavis can filter out quite well, but the KOP is awful when it is busy. The steps are very iconic, but I think it's an area that could be explored. The Tea bar, they do need bringing into modern times they are stuck in a late 80s fashion even though the rebuild was in the early 90s. If the club acted on this, instead of other means they could increase the money they take in. So, Improve how fans can exit the stadium safely. Modernise the tea bars. At the very least, add the advertising boards along the Pavis Stand too. Repaint the steps in areas where they are slippy. Put in disabled seating in the lower kop, we have safe standing now and disabled fans deserve to be able to choose KOP. Bring disabled toilets and general improvements in this area.
  5. There's never, ever any issues with the ticketing website. It's perfect, and runs as intended. 🤔 [This message was sponsored by Notts County Football Club] 🤣
  6. @Robbie I felt Jatta gave a poor account of himself, he had one moment where he caused them to make a mistake by persisting to challenge for the ball. I felt it was like he was 3-4 seconds behind everyone else in the game, his first touch seemed off, his decision to shoot was often clumbsy at late. I am not attacking your opinion, just adding to the conversation with my own take. There were times he could have pressured the Bristol Rovers keeper, but ran only half bothered. Some friends who don't support Notts even critised him after the game, it wasn't like how he can be and there was some who felt it was a sign that he will be off. I thought he did okay, but nothing to warrant the time he had on the pitch. I would have rather see Lee Ndlovu come on sooner, as he injects his pace in a way that makes people rush.
  7. Nick Tsaroulla played brilliantly, and he was on my list before the sponsors named him as their Man of the Match but I felt Jodi Jones deserves it. He was brilliant in the first half, and I don't think he should have gone off. I believe Jones would have been more incontention with others opinions had this happened, but Jones did some really neat defensive work and was excellent going forward.
  8. If it was Notts, it would have but that's the difference between us and Arsenal. I wish we could rely on a few bodies to put away crosses, we tend to have that many it becomes a bit like pin ball as to who might strike the ball. I wished Martin Paterson would tell some to hang back at the edge of the D, and then make runs to split the defence.
  9. I don't know, I am doubtful they would support it. I might have a better chance speaking to the players, but then I wouldn't want to bother them. I am unsure if this is likely to happen (the raffles), I'll see tomorrow and see what support there is from the wider community. It might not be viable because of the cost of living. I don't know how impacted our fan base is, but even football is expensive, so I fully understand that this might not work.
  10. I've been saying for awhile that our fate would come down to the last gam of the season, whilst I thought that playoffs would have been secured sooner. I am in no doubt proud of the squad for having acheived this. It's going to be tense, I am sure what we feel in the stands will be multipled for the players themselves. Let's get behind them from the moment they come out of the tunnel and lineup, when Andy announces the squad. Let's make each player feel our support, let them know we are behind the club and encourage them to be our warriros. Anything we can do to take off their pressure, would naturally ease them into the game. I hear, "but they are professionals", but this doesn't mean that important games are not measured differently. I am sure each player wants to perform well, to give their all and we must remember that no matter how the game goes down. I suspect the club will be putting in measures to prevent a pitch invasion just as much as handling any unpleasentaries about the outcome if confirmed about the playoffs. It won't be productive to give any sort of critism, even if we play like a group of school boys or allow the occasion to get on top of us. We are the 12th player, our difference can be felt and I don't care about Bristol Rovers or their form. We have to win our final league game, even if we don't make automatics. That is very, very unlikely at this stage but football is a strange and exciting sport. Control the game in midfield, be alert at the back and just focus on making Rovers' life extreamly difficult by creating chances. Even if we don't perform well, I will clap the squad. Not because I am 'happy clapper' but because I acknowledge this season has been a huge rollercoaster, with some fantastic memories and at the end of the day it's why we support the team. They have done well, more than they haven't.
  11. I am looking forward to this point, my friend.
  12. I have caught the lurgy going through my family, I noticed the night before and going to pick up Ava felt like I was walking on the moon. I ended up drinking a full bottle of water, before even making it half way back home, but Ava was fine with me picking her up. I just walked behind her, and her friends, which felt a little odd but it was almost like I was in security. I wouldn't want to do it regularly; it's like a nightmare. My wife keeps finding new ways where my respect for her increases even when you think it's at its max. Despite feeling like a zombie, I have been very, very productive and if Tone reads this. I am very, very close to reeling him in. 😄
  13. Has any leaderboard notifications been received at all? I am getting the impression, it needs further work.
  14. There was me thinking you would be as kind to donate luxary tickets for two, on a cruise around Greece. Your cap was an unclaimed prize; ironically people tended to consider things as a donation which I can't accept. It forces me to have to go to reasonable lengths to give the winners their prizes, but there was stuff from the club shop. Some prizes were donated, and a kind friend assembled a lovely food hamper. I purchased tickets for a game, but I paid so that the winner could have the seats/area chosen. Something people tend to overlook is you have to invest in these, so they do cost at first but prizes can be reused if nobody wins them. Otherwise you are best asking for donations. There are always various prizes available, but I also need to factor in the online payment transaction fee. Nothing is straight forward, but they can be very helpful. The main thing is to hope friends and the community, especially outside of the site, realise how important these things are. You can't really operate without incurring costs and it's the reason most sites die off.
  15. Just to clarify, this would be registered with Nottinghamshire County Council. So, I would have to factor in their application and yearly fee, but it is best to do things legitimately. https://www.nottinghamcity.gov.uk/information-for-business/business-information-and-support/business-and-trading-licences-and-permits/gambling-and-gaming-licences/small-society-lotteries/ This would be a non-profit scheme, and solely to raise funds to help pay for the sites costs. With doing this, each raffle must not go over £20,000 and all prizes would be under £25,000, which is the maximum amount permitted for a "Small Society Lottery." However, if there wouldn't be the support or interest, then sadly I would have to seek other means. I wouldn't be doing raffles all that often, most likely once every three months and 20% of each one would be donated to the Notts County Foundation. They would be my choice for the charitable cause that 20% of all proceeds should be given.
  16. Martin Paterson strikes me as the type of person that will focus on preperation, and accessing the metal state of the squad as he does it, but I would alo assume that he will fire the lads up. The last 46 games mean nothing in the playoffs, and form tends to go right out the window. This means there should be a natural reset, but it should be across all of the teams who have made them. The key thing will be to avoid nerves, insist on a level of focus, ensure the team plays as a unit and try to handle the occasion the best to their ability. Some players will treat it as any other game, some might feel like its a cup match and others might allow frustration to set in because they want to gain promotion. Personally, I would express the team's desire to enjoy the game and work hard together. Focus on the training and means of exploiting the opposition. Avoid allowing setbacks or pressure to have any handle on the situation; the only means to succeed is to try and put your all into them.
  17. Whilst not the same, I seem to recall a similar move by us and I think it was Enzio who scored it. The awareness of the team mates, the movement and effort to draw defenders out without wasting energy but in a very smart approach makes it a joy to watch. Anything but a goal would have been the right thing considering how good of a move it was, calmly placed into the net and a brilliant celebration too. Straight to your support, and giving you something more to cheer about.
  18. I am curious as to if there might be enough support to conduct raffles back here on the site, in the past they were helpful but did require my time to promote them. Please don't instantly locate the donate button, whilst I do need to encourage that and the subscriptions that will come with time. As well as trying to find local businesses willing and wanting to work with PON, this is something I am excited about but I do acknowledge the content side and lack of social media presence currently might put some off. I just need to come up with effective solutions that benefit everyone. I am blessed that there are plenty of people willing to support, and help keep the costs manageable, but I am currently unable to renew my licence for the software we use. This is why I have taken to selling some of the applications I have made, but sales rely on interest and so far I have only sold 2 copies of the same resource. I am grateful, excited and proud but that comes with time to support any questions or issues they experience. Plus setting aside time to do that away from all my roles here. I am not complaining, just explaining that if I were able to return to doing raffles. I could try to see if the support is there to complete them every now and then in order to help raise money. Not everyone would be obliged to donate, nor do I expect it and sometimes you have to give something back.
  19. Cheeky is on a school trip. She's very actively helping one of the nearest schools and has been assisting them for quite a few years. I think she's done an amazing job helping out, and teaching local children how to read. I am not allowed to pick my youngest daughter up from school, she wants Jake to do it. However, I am being told by Jake I have to do it. I'm tempted to see if my mum's wheelchair still works, kidnap my dad and get him to come with me. 🤣 I need protection because Ava won't be happy at all. I want to forward this somewhere that should take notice of it. 🤣
  20. A concern means you care; we will all do our part to make sure that it remains fun and just a friendly aspect of the site.
  21. I have brought the feature back twice before; it's not a core resource and the original dev left. I asked Terabyte to upgrade it, which he did, but that was for 4.7 not 5x. It's nice to see members respecting, and giving reactions. I remember back in the day, you and my dad asking for the ability to give more because it used to be limited due to the queries involved. I wouldn't worry, people want to feel appreciated and @macpie has spoken about how he appreciates it. I don't easily give reactions, even though I like a lot of content. I do it for effort, and acknowledgement. I don't think anyone would really chase it to be named in something that's just for fun. Though, I understand your concerns and have in the past when you have mentioned it. This is how I see it, I always give them myself based on effort. I will give different ones based on the content. I enjoy recognising humorous posts because they can help build a strong community. You need people of various varities, but united behind supporting each other. At the end of the day, when Notts is a bit gloomy, you look for these people to brighten your day. Not just those who make you laugh, but care and in an honest way. I don't really mind if people agree, disagree or react to mine but it does have a nice feeling when you see it. It's partly why I have never really been all that interested in social media from a personal point of view. likes etc, they don't mean much but the friendship does. When I see people's posts that have taken effort to add value, the very least I can do is acknowledge it. Most I think would feel the exact same way, at least I feel.
  22. I have noticed that @Robbie has updated his mood, which got me thinking I wonder how many songs we could share based on members moods. The aim isn't to spam, but to firstly show support to other members but to also promote a song which someone else might not have heard. In addition to highlighting the feature itself. I am going with Jaded by Mest, these aren't my favourite artists in the world but I do love this song, along with Rooftops and a few others. Rules: Someone updates their mood → we pick a song that matches → we share it to support them and share music with the community. No double posting please. Do join in if you can think of a song.
  23. I haven't long been back from my dietry appointment, and I have to say that it has been the best I have had. Previous people have told me to cut x out, eat less and they just don't seem to take things into consideration; it's like a text book at times. The lady I saw today, she was brilliant and has given me some advice which I hadn't considered or even realised would help. All things to take on board, and because I feel some of my own actions have benefitted me already. It is encouraging, but at least I know what is impacting my liver and more support with being pre-diabetic.
  24. I have a dietry appointment today at my GP, hopefully the progress I am making is good because I am not sure what else I can do in order to curve things. I feel somewhat better in areas, so provided I can avoid becoming diabetic and trim my weight down. Just waiting for Cheeky to come back from school, and then off I go.
  25. I remember the name, but not much else. I love that Neil Warnock is living his life how he wants, and shows little signs of not retiring properly. The thought of managing overseas is amusing to me. Good on him for not allowing his age to prevent him from living.
