M K Dons appoint Crawley coach
I need to start wearing my glasses more, I only need them at times, but I thought the picture was Ally McCoist at first. ???? MK Dons have a weird way about appointing their managers: they seem to go on "names" with "reputation" and then they appoint managers who have earned promotion with other teams. Scott Lindsey did well with Crawley Town last season, but is he the right manager to turn their season around? This will be his third league club, so it's not a convincing decision - if I supported the plastic club I would be somewhat disappointed. Considering how poor they started, you would have thought they would go with someone with a bit more experience and a better track record with promotion. That's just my view. I might be wrong, but I don't see how he's any better than their previous manager.

Poch In America.
It's going to be interesting to see how he adapts, it's like having a very extended holiday I would imagine but the United States team have been underachievers for some time. Most of their better talent is between the age of 22-26, but lack firepower up top. Haji Wright is a decent player with promising potential. They lack the Landon Donovan type striker mind.

Scouting dossier : Burton Albion v Notts
I don't know much about him, but he sounds like someone worth keeping an eye on, and it will be interesting to see how he ends up doing with Burton and back with his parent club, Birmingham City.

Aiden Stone to Boston on Loan
I felt very impressed with him during the pre-season when he first arrived. I think there's a good keeper in Aidan Stone, but confidence is something which he seems to suffer from once he concedes a goal. I think he would flourish with our current defenders, as he would have a lot more protection, but Notts clearly want to move him on. Stone is a better option over Sam Slocombe. I like Slocombe but right now it's only his experience that keeps him as the backup. Personally, I think we gave up too early on Stone.

Missing Trophies
Unfortunately, during times of desperation people can do crazy things. I think it's likely to be true that some were melted down. This is something I have been told over the years, by fans who are quite involved with the club. It's a shocking thing to do, but I would imagine if they still existed it would be quite easy to locate them. It should be a crime, and that the trophies belong to the club.

Opposition View: Mark Shore's "Get Out of Our Club" Message to Morecambe's Owner
Introduction: Name: Mark Shore. How long have you supported Morecambe? 21-years. Are you a season ticket holder? Yes. Age? 35. Favourite Player? Danny Carlton. How do you feel about Morecambe’s current position in League Two, and what do you think are the main factors contributing to their struggles this season? I am not happy with us being bottom of the league. We play well, but things are not going our way. All this is because of our owner, Jason Whittingham. How did the transfer embargo affect the team’s ability to strengthen the squad, and what impact do you think it has had on their overall performance? It is hard to sign players under a transfer embargo. Signing 15 players in one day is challenging. What are your views on the management and coaching staff’s approach to the season, and do you think any changes are needed to improve results? It was out of his control, Adam's hand, because he doesn't know how much money he can spend on players. How do you see the rest of the season unfolding for Morecambe, and what are your expectations for the team’s performance in the upcoming matches? I hope we finish mid-table. I hope we can get 6 points in the next 3 games. How do you think Notts County’s defence will handle Morecambe’s attacking threats in the upcoming match? I think Notts County's defence will handle it fine. Which player from Notts County do you believe will make the most impact in the game against Morecambe, and why? Jacob Bedeau, I think he will because he is an ex-Morecambe player. Dan Crowley too. What role do you think the club’s leadership and board have played in the current situation, and what actions do you believe they should take to address the issues? Just make sure our owner sells the club. At the moment, he doesn't want to sell it. JASON WHITTINGHAM, GET OUT OF OUR CLUB AND SELL THE CLUB! Final comments from Chris Fans might be thinking that the game will be routine from the Notts perspective, although I expect Morecambe to put a strong performance. Defensively, Morecambe can struggle from set pieces and corners which is something I would like to see magpies make use of. I fully expect Morecambe to attempt to disrupt our passing play, with them trying to mount attacks on the break. If Notts control the game and create good scoring opportunities, it could see a number of goals but even if this is the case - Morecambe have the ability to shut teams out or make the opposition work. My prediction would be 3-0 to Notts. I wish Morecambe fans all the best, and hope their season picks up. Read our latest article on Pride of Nottingham, where 15-year-old Kameron Muir makes history as Notts County’s youngest-ever player in the Magpies’ 2-1 win over Burton Albion. Head over to Pride of Nottingham and share your thoughts on this weekend's game against Morecambe, as Notts County aims to bounce back and return to winning ways.

Missing Trophies
I'm not sure what trophies no longer exist, but I am aware that during the early 00s it's believed some were melted down and sold. I have no idea why anyone would be so foolish to destroy parts of the club's history, even if we needed the money badly. I can't imagine they would have funded much. Not in terms of the costs involved with a football club. AH made claims that more had gone missing when he came in, I don't know if that's true or not. I am aware of some shady things, but it's not for me to repeat them, and I wouldn't want the hassle involved.

Life's Questions.
When you plan to meet up with someone, you give them the directions and your location. Then when they turn up they go, "So you were here all along, then?" ????

Where are they now : Jack Barmby
He was a nice lad, but I don't think he had the drive to make a career within the EFL. It wasn't so much his ability; I think he was quite nervous as a player and due to that he never pushed himself. I do think his time at Notts was a waste though. Being the son of a famous player has some weight, but I think an exceptional manager is needed to get the most out of players like Jack Barmby.

A "classic" own goal from Huddersfield
Yikes, it's a common issue with playing the ball out of the back. Alex Bass isn't afraid to boot the ball up, which is the right decision if you are being pressed. One of the defenders must have realised they were passing themselves into danger? The own goal is such an owler.

CEEFAX 50th anniversary
I hate it! ???? The amount of times you would be trying to watch something, only for @super_ram to turn it on and take over the TV screen. There were some good memories, such as the score updates and the games which were on them. It makes you appreciate the earlier forms of the internet and other communication methods. My children wouldn't know how lucky they are to have mobile phones.

Raddy booked for "Ungentlemanly conduct" 1979
I agree with, @liampie. Sometimes back then the paint wasn't very good, so it was a lot more difficult in the heat of the moment to check your positioning. It's funny how he wasn't booked, but I do think the referee made a smart choice. I think things like this lead to stricter rules though, where the decision is less about the ref's thoughts and more down to the rules exactly as they are written.

Worcester City v Notts County Women
Great win and start for our women's team. Proud that they have started strong, and I hope to continue to see the signs of their hard work in comparison to last season. They are looking likely to stay up, and the building process of the team is promising. Congrats to them for the win here!

Where are they now : Jayden Richardson
I would say it's a mixture of not playing regularly and Jayden Richardson not applying himself, it's difficult for young players to find their feet once they leave their parent club - especially after being loaned out a lot. He really should have signed for a team that would play him, then show commitment to them by avoiding transfer's like the one he had to Aberdeen. I fully understand why he went, it was a massive opportunity and clearly the move came from his time with us - as they signed Cal Roberts too. Hopefully, he will now settle at Boreham Wood.

Manchester City To Get Off ?
Manchester City will get off with it, which will make a mockery of the Premier League and the FA. They're only a big club due to the money that's been pumped into them, but because they're super wealthy they think it's fine to go about breaking rules. If this happened prior to the takeover, they would see much swifter actions and even clubs like Chelsea are punished almost instantly as the charges are given. It's making football look bad, and potentially it will cause further issues with other rich clubs trying it on. The Premier League and FA need to make the rules and laws of the game easier to take action. With the risk of delays from clubs fighting it has a punishment if they're in the wrong. Sometimes things do have a natural longer process, but once charges are made, then it needs to come down to facts and the punishment should be fitting of the issues. The fact Manchester City think they can get away with it, I think harsher penalties should be applied. The only thing I can see happening is them being given a large fine which means nothing to them.

Ricardo Moniz's new position
I really hope this is the club where he can settle, and use his knowledge of the game to help them further. He sounds like he's doing a fantastic job, so hopefully we'll still see him in charge of them for another season or two, ideally longer but with a lot of changes in football. Ricardo Moniz is a fantastic coach, with his insight into the game, but it's right now where he's showing his class as a manager.

I Hate Sam Allardyce
Over the years, a lot of footballers have come out saying they dislike. I think it's quite a common thing; there's been people who have stated they hate Neil Warnock. As for this, I don't know why you would complain about having a day off, but it does show a level of professionalism and commitment. Maybe he thought if Big Sam wasn't calling off training sessions the team would perform better? It's quite funny though, David Bentley who worked under him at Blackburn Rovers once said that Big Sam's approach to management bought the best out of him, and that he was the best manager who knew how to get the best out of him. The partying lifestyle, drinking culture and the social side does fit some players.

Weekly Chat 23rd to 29th September.
The past few weeks, my laptop has been sounding like it's about to take off. I was expecting a trip to the moon, or maybe I would be joining Tony on his holiday. I am sure that would have surprised him, but it was getting annoying. A common issue with gaming laptops, so I spent an hour just now deep cleaning the bloody thing. Removed the fans, gave them a good cleaning. Cleaned the motherboard, gave it a good once over with a mini vacuum Cheeky bought. Found quite a few bits of very large dust bits. Put it back together, everything is back to normal. I don't really like cleaning it. I must make a habit of doing it once a month. I won't be flying anywhere now, and nobody at home will be moaning about the sound. ???? I'm starting to feel quite a lot better, but somehow I bit my lip whilst sleeping. No idea how you do that, without waking up. I still don't plan to over do the singing at Morecambe, but I am happy that I am feeling more likely that I am able to go.

Match Discussion: Game 8 - The Shrimps (A)
Morecambe could have a turning point at any moment, I feel sorry for them because I don't think they should be in this position and having signed 15 players in a single day, that is a lot of players needing to settle into a new environment. I have seen their highlights, they don't play badly but can be caught out. Defensively, I do see that they have weaknesses and this should be somewhere Notts tries to cause as many problems with as possible. I would hope we can make the most of set pieces and corner kicks, as Morecambe do throw bodies and it can become a little chaotic. I do think we'll get the time to shoot, even without set pieces, but Morecambe are very capable in attacking despite not having won yet. If they remain as a team, we might struggle to take our chances but if they become disconnected - that is where the game would unfold.

What Now For AJ?
Tyson Fury fights on his own terms and is one of the worst to avoid fighting people he believes would beat him. If he thinks there's a chance, he screws them out of money by demanding more of the fights prize money as a way to try to force his opponent into saying no. Anthony Joshua I do think could with Fury, but it could go down to who boxers better on the day. Fury is a very irritating character, the way he treated Oleksandr Usyk before and after their fight shows what a gutter ball he is. AJ treats his opponents with respect and is by far the better professional. I like that he came out saying that he wouldn't retire and wanted to speak after the fight, despite being advised not to do it. That is a further sign of respect. I wouldn't rule him out of going for a championship title again, but he needs to work harder and train well. I personally think he should keep away from television shows during periods where he's expected to fight, stick to the gym and training.

Match Discussion: Trophy - The Brewers (A)
Just mix the team up a bit, bring in some of the players who haven't had many minutes so far. I don't value the EFL trophy at all. I think throwing a too weakened squad would be negative, but I would consider seeing what Brown is like as a striker and resting some of our key players. Only some, it's not something I would take seriously. I wished Notts could pull out of it, like they did with the F.A Cup (which should have been taken seriously). It's one game, unless you progress. Not a series of pointless group games.
