  1. Home Alone II - Lost in New York is my favourite, but I also love Jack Frotst which was shown yesterday on Channel 5. It's something I have been trying to watch with Cheeky, although she was preparing food and missed most of it. I think it's a great film packed full of meaning and some very funny moments. Also, I love Jingle All the Way. PS. You're all my favourite customers!
  2. At some point during the day, we will be calling by @super_ram and spending some time with him. This will probably be after Christmas dinner, so the day will start with presents and watching things together. I assume Jake will be on his PlayStation more than being downstairs, but we will be eating together. We have invited him to spend a few days afterwards with us, which I am looking forward too.
  3. Ha! Joking aside, I think it's great. However, there should also be something representative of Notts County as well. Steve Cooper's actions and interactions with Luke Williams show that he had a perspective that extended beyond football. That's something I will respect, and I wish him well.
  4. This will be quite exciting coming into the New Year, I really encourage those who are active to be a part of this as the aim will be to really grow ourselves as a community. I have to be honest, I don't recall who has joined up previously or not - it's an area that I really need to invest more time in. The previous list grew with only emails, very few names and that makes it difficult to track who is who. This will be amended once the first email goes out, but it will be something I encourage everyone who enjoys PON to get behind.
  5. That is something quite special! It took me back to my childhood and times when I was forced by school to go to a nearby church. Where live instruments were played, and the pupils had to form the choir. It made Christmas different for sure.
  6. How did they do this, and why didn't anyone at the club notice? I hate how Notts will be forever connected with scams like this, as it doesn't reflect well on the club, and it's hard to shake these things. I hope those responsible get sent down.
  7. I wouldn't either, he was better going forward. I don't understand why people are playing him as a left back. He would be far more effective on the left of midfield, but the issue is he's a flash in the pan. He can start off well, but fails to maintain himself. I am glad we managed to dodge signing him, as there are fans who still wish he was here due to a few very good performances. He was rubbish at Chesterfield.
  8. Yeah, he's a lower tier manager who isn't learning anything higher up. Rotherham have really transformed themselves into what Peterborough got known for by bouncing between the 2nd and 3rd division of English football.
  9. Nottingham City Council should probably look at some of their highest earners and start to thin them out, instead of giving lower down people more roles to juggle which means they can't effectively manage their main duty. All these overspending issues are a big concern. My nearest library is a good resource. It's being closed for the central one which makes it harder for me to get to. Therefore I won't bother. A lot of councils across the UK need to take a look at their staffing. Most faults fall on them.
  10. There are a few moments that could trigger it, but as the commentator says, it's not actually offside. In his eyes and that's exactly how I see it.
  11. @Fan of Big Tone I thought my dad had spent the journey with @Piethagoram. Saturday was @cheeky~k8, I spent it offline and tried to make sure to be around the children. As Cheeky likes family time, we went to Pizza Hut in the evening and had a nice meal - even though it wasn't without its drama. Sunday, I helped my brother @william1984 moved home with his brother-in-law Sean. I haven't slept so well in years.
  12. In the years since I first met him my thoughts on him have increased, and I found this to be a great clip! I knew he came into football in an untraditional way but to see him speak of superstitions was interesting too.
  13. I can't comment, but in @Piethagoram I trust. I didn't listen or watch the game, so my thoughts are only based on comments and what I read in match reports.
  14. I don't fault him for choosing to take a managerial job, over coaching. So, for that, I do wish him well. As for his decisions, if he wants to become a good manager he will need to choose carefully if ever tempted to leave. I think he bases a lot of his decisions based on his heart, instead of his head but I hope he does alright at Woking.
  15. Ideally, this would be how things could start to improve; however, I don't think our issues are as simple as just this. I think we need to establish who the best three are who should start and give them time to work things out. Training and a turn in results could help take the pressure off, but there's something that is causing us to be our own worst enemy. Signing another strong CB could be part of the solution. Adjust the tactics, play deeper in defence and make sure we aren't passing the ball back too much etc. It can all go towards the final solution of improving.
  16. I wonder if he lived this lifestyle before the success as gaining money can make habits snowball further, either way I find it quite a sad story and how easily some people can be led down a darker road.
  17. There are more suitable players than Conor Keeley that we can find. The fact he was linked with Walsall due to the owner connection and us. I would think he probably likes playing in Ireland. It's somewhat an unambitious move in my eyes, but hey he could have done a job here - someone else most likely will. I'm not overly bothered.
  18. Let's please remember that the 72 usually get things wrong, and it probably just a gamble for them that has worked out - including all the awful papers like picking it up. That said, I am pleased he signed and I think having seen him - I now understand what he brings. He looked good against Walsall, I wouldn't have taken him off personally but now he's ours. Hopefully we continue to give him more time, Ollie Tipton could probably go back since he's nowhere near our lineup.
  19. It could tide them over until they know what's happening. Joe Worrall would be a fantastic addition, though I am not so sure about Scott McKenna. He really should be doing better for Forest and I think he wouldn't want to step down to our level. Worrall may, for the short term, as a way to get games and prove himself to Forest or at least Championship clubs that might be interested.
  20. I wasn't as for these when @Piethagoram suggest them, however, I think if we can keep them operating and drive in revenue it will be a good thing. The club could also use them to help encourage the atmosphere in Meadow Lane. Funny how they came up at the fans' forum, especially with Piethagoram having mentioned them before, now I feel they could be of benefit.
  21. Ditto. Come on @Piethagoram, cough up and tell us what you know. It's not a name I know of.
  22. Haha! @super_pie has always said that Luke's, Pep in disguise. I'm not familiar with the other manager, but I'm starting to get an Eminem vibe. You know, "I'm the real Slim Shady".
  23. I've done this before @super_ram mentions it. Hull City 0-1 Cardiff City Swansea City 1-1 Middlesbrough Barnsley 1-2 Charlton Athletic Port Vale 2-0 Wigan Athletic Doncaster Rovers 1-0 Morecambe Newport County 0-2 Grimsby Town (Joker) Dagenham & Redbridge 1-0 Wealdstone Dorking Wanderers 0-1 Woking PS. Someone remind @cheeky~k8, I don't think she ever forgets but did last time.
  24. I know the name, but I honestly don't know much about him as a player. Through all the years of my chats with fans, he hasn't been mentioned and if I get a chance at a future home game, I will ask some of the fans I know who may have seen him play. He could be a good Alumni to write about.
  25. Haha! @Fan of Big Tone Seriously, I have fond memories of baking with my mum and I think it's safe to say she also inspired @cheeky~k8 with baking too. All of our families cakes are usually made by Kate, so I don't get to do it very often, but I do love baking. I actually got your point though: it's a very strict business in regard to selling bakery and cakes. Whilst I am sure there's people here who would love some of the cakes near to it's best before, I am certain Kate wouldn't want us storing them as I do prints. lol
