  1. Good statement from the board. Kyle Cameron has committed to a new 2-year deal and that is fantastic news.
  2. I wholeheartedly agree, Skip. I think Jim has proven time and time again that he’s a good part of this squad and that he deserves to be given a contract. I would have liked to see him play at Wembley, but as he said in his interview, he knew John wasn’t coming off. But I think that shows the quality we have when the engines get going and the coal begins to produce fuel in the tank. O’Brien still has it. His last name reminds me of a bygone era of Notts and just like Ray, Jim loves this club.
  3. I still haven’t woken up yet; I am waiting for the moment when I realise Alan Hardy still owns the club and we’re now in the National League North with someone like David Batty as the manager.
  4. He’s earning his caps alright; I hope he manages to get the goal he craves. No better team to cause an upset against than England.
  5. I wouldn’t blame him if he decided to retire and leave the position for someone else to fill. However, I am delighted that he has signed a new deal. He’s a squad member who gives his all, plays to win and tries to help those around him. These are all worthy reasons why the club has offered him a new one-year deal.
  6. Yes, it’s good news regarding Jim extending his stay amongst the departure of Ruben Rodrigues. I think Jim will be a useful addition to the squad in League Two; he very rarely misses a beat.
  7. I fully understand his decision to leave; I expected it at the end of the season and I think he deserves a chance to play at a higher level. I think his decision to choose Oxford is down to extending his game time; he’s no spring chicken.
  8. Ruben will be just fine at Oxford United. They have been a good League One team and he will have weighed things up.
  9. Welcome back David. I’m eager to see how you will perform against League 2 defenders. Well done to everyone who made this deal possible.
  10. I’m excited to see how Jodi performs against top-level competition. He’s got the talent to make an impact. He has shown his quality and versatility in different positions and situations. He has also demonstrated his confidence and composure under pressure. I think he has what it takes to challenge himself and prove himself on the international stage.
  11. I have little idea on which players Notts could bring in to help tighten the defence, I am not worried about the amount of goals conceded last season but I do think a CB/LWB is needed.
  12. Congratulations to Tiernan Brooks on his fantastic achievement of being selected for the Ireland U21 squad. He has worked hard and shown great potential as a goalkeeper for Notts County. He will be joining his fellow Irishmen in Austria for three friendly matches ahead of the UEFA U21 European Championship qualifiers. This is a great opportunity for him to gain valuable experience and exposure at the international level. We are very proud of him and wish him all the best in his future endeavours!
  13. Greg Tempest was a nice lad who was always happy and willing to work hard. I do not know what happened to him at Notts but I wish he had found the ability to improve and move forward with his career instead of backwards.
  14. Tony Hateley was a legend and it’s great to see him being remembered so fondly by the fans. His impact on the club and its supporters is clear from Fan of Big Tone’s story. It’s wonderful to see how much he meant to the fans and how he will always be remembered as a Notts County hero.
  15. Great signing! Randall is a quality player who can make a difference in the midfield. He was brilliant for Sutton last season and I’m sure he’ll fit in well at Notts.
  16. After reading about the journeys of these playoff-winning teams, I can’t help but feel optimistic about our prospects in League Two. It’s encouraging to see teams like Exeter City and Forest Green Rovers making their mark in higher leagues. This inspires us to aim high in our upcoming campaign. We can learn from their success and strive to achieve similar results in our own journey. Good article, @Simon Clark.
  17. Brilliant news, Connell is a top player and a top bloke. He’s been a vital part of our team and our club. He’s shown his respect and his gratitude to Notts and he deserves this opportunity. He’s got the skill and the personality to inspire us to success next season.
  18. I suspect that this is Frank Vincent, with his recent release.
  19. Langstaff’s talent and hard work have paid off in spades. He has shown incredible skill and dedication on the field, consistently delivering top-notch performances. His success is a testament to his commitment to his craft and his determination to succeed. It’s clear that all the hard work he has put in has truly paid off.
  20. Jodi Jones has shown time and time again that he’s a class act on the pitch. His directness and skill make him a real asset to any team, and in the right setup he could be the key to promotion. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that he stays at Notts.
  21. Matt Palmer has truly been a standout player for Notts County. As a midfielder, he has consistently demonstrated exceptional skill and ability on the pitch. His contributions to the team have been significant and he has played a key role in many of their successes. Palmer’s talent and dedication have not gone unnoticed and he is widely regarded as one of the best midfielders in the league. Notts County is fortunate to have such a talented player on their team.
  22. The Reedtz brothers have demonstrated their forward-thinking approach by planning for life in League Two well in advance of securing promotion. Their foresight and strategic thinking give me full confidence in their ability to assemble a competitive squad capable of challenging at the top end of the division. Their proactive approach to planning for the future is a testament to their commitment to success. By anticipating the challenges of competing in League Two and taking steps to address them early on, the Reedtz brothers have shown that they are fully invested in building a team that can thrive at this level. I have no doubt that they will continue to make smart decisions that will position the squad for success.
  23. It’s clear that Luke Williams has a lot of confidence in the team’s ability to hold their own in League Two next season. I can’t wait to see what they can achieve.
  24. I had a fantastic time on my trip to London to see Notts play at the new Wembley Stadium. The stadium has been nicely rebuilt, but I must admit that I do miss the old one. There was something special about the history and character of the original Wembley that made it such an iconic venue. Nevertheless, it was still a great experience to see Notts play at the new stadium.
  25. The pictures taken by @Chris are excellent. It’s wonderful to see a different perspective of the fans at Wembley through his gallery.
