Match Discussion: Game 11 - The Spireites (A)
It's one of those games nobody should be too critical of, because it's difficult to go into Derby games and achieve the outcome you desire. Both teams did play well. Chesterfield had some luck and the official on their side. We had to make our own, but I wouldn't complain about the game. We managed to get a point, and there's a good chance we can build some form going forward. Avoiding the defeat, at least to me, feels like a win. I can't imagine Chesterfield fans will be happy with the way they gave the win away. Calamity defending by them for both of our goals, handling the ball so late on.

Stuart Maynard: "We Keep Going to the End" as Notts County Fight Back for Draw
I’m so glad to see David McGoldrick back and making a difference. That man brings experience, skill, and leadership all in one package. You could see the confidence boost as soon as he came on the pitch. His penalty might not have gone in at first, but credit to him for staying calm and getting the rebound. The fact that we’ve stayed unbeaten away is massive. Places like Chesterfield aren’t easy, and we held our ground.

Who is your Man of the match v Chesterfield?
I thought George Abbott played very well and made a big difference, not just in defence but also going forward. His play was superb, especially for the first goal.

Match Report: McGoldrick’s Last-Minute Heroics Secure Dramatic Draw for Notts in Derby Thriller
It was a relief when David McGoldrick scored, although it wasn't without concern. I believe the official could have allowed play to continue when Jatta scored. The handball wasn't intentional and didn't affect the game, but giving the penalty did give them an opportunity. Their goalkeeper performed well, but thankfully we had some luck, and McGoldrick managed to score on the second attempt. We need to stay focused and keep working hard; I hope we can start a winning streak soon.

Matt Palmer: Derby Day Will Be Tough, but Notts County Are Ready for the Challenge
I thought Matt’s comments on his return from injury were really insightful. A lot of people forget the mental side of recovery and how difficult it can be to get back to full match fitness after such a long layoff. He’s been honest about how tough it was, but he’s shown resilience, and it’s paying off. Watching him control the tempo of games again has been a joy. It’s clear that he’s getting sharper with every game, and that’s only going to benefit the team. He’s also been a brilliant leader, both on and off the pitch, guiding the newer players and keeping everyone grounded. We’re lucky to have him as captain.

I Robot
20-30 thousand dollars? I don’t see many regular people spending that kind of money on something that induces nightmares. That opening sequence of the robots walking reminded me of robots in the 80s, which were just as scary. When the video got going, they did seem pretty fluid. Elon Musk has been a voice against all this stuff, so it’s strange to see him involved in this.

Faces of PON 24-25: Port Vale (H)
Excellent to see such a vibrant array of support, all in a mixture of shirts. I would encourage fans reading my comment to get behind the site and the work that @Chris does. It’s such a high level of work that truly deserves support from the Notts fan base. These are excellent as always, gaffer.

Stuart Maynard Laments Offside Decision in Port Vale’s Decisive Goal Against Notts County
Yesterday's match was a tough pill to swallow for us fans. Losing narrowly and to an offside goal only adds to the frustration. Maynard’s right to be upset, but as supporters, all we can do is back the team and hope for more clinical discipline in the next outings. The keeper did his part; those saves were tremendous, but they shouldn't have needed to be that frequent. Injuries keep changing the game plan, putting more pressure on already tired players. But there are positives, like our ability to adapt under pressure and put up a good defence. The Chesterfield game is crucial. It's more than just points, it's about showing resilience and sparking that competitive spirit.

Match Report: Magpies’ Dominance Undone by Port Vale’s Clinical Counter
At the end of the day, we need something extra up top and a striker who can finish chances outside the penalty box. Notts can try to walk the ball into the goal or score from a cross, but it won’t always work. Defensively, we need to be more alert in crucial stages. The Port Vale goal changed things for Notts. I think we would have scored if they hadn’t. I never felt we would equalise after that. I’m disappointed but see things we can take away.

Notts County's Tactical Evolution: Maynard’s Insights Before Facing Port Vale
Maynard’s approach seems spot on to me, especially with the way he’s managing McGoldrick’s recovery. Rushing players back is never the answer, and we’ve got the depth now to cope. It’s clear that the squad has been well-assembled, with players like Josh Martin and Jevani Brown able to step in and contribute. The focus on tactical flexibility is also refreshing. Teams that rely on just one approach can get found out, but mixing things up with Bass’s long passes and quick transitions could be key to unlocking stubborn defences. The clean sheet against Carlisle was well-earned, and with Port Vale coming up, I’m optimistic that we’ll see the benefits of this adaptable approach in action. Maynard’s got us on the right path.

Who's Your Notts Man of the Match v Carlisle?
Alex Bass deserves to be named Man of the Match. He was superb and kept Carlisle out by being alert to every chance that got past our defence, and there were quite a few. Defensively, Notts was good, but without Bass, this game would have been different.

Match Discussion: Game 9 - The Blues (A)
The second half might not have been the most thrilling, but the opening goal was a moment of brilliance. Jatta’s presence on the field made all the difference, and everything changed once Stuart Maynard made his adjustments. Despite the heavy schedule, it was a solid victory. Alex Bass and the defenders did an excellent job keeping Carlisle at bay. We’ve been playing a lot of minutes lately, but the team’s resilience showed through. It was a well-earned win, thanks to the strong defensive performance.

Match Report: Early Goals and Solid Defence See Notts County Defeat Carlisle United 2-0
The second half wouldn't have been enjoyable to watch, but the opening goal was pure class. That's the difference having Jatta in the team makes, everything seemed to shift once Stuart Maynard made the changes. We've played a lot of minutes recently, but it was a solid win. Alex Bass and all the defenders did well to keep Carlisle at bay.p

Match Discussion: Game 9 - The Blues (A)
An away day at Carlisle is always tough, and with our current injuries, it looks even harder. Stuart Maynard has his work cut out for him picking a squad that can cope with the home side's physicality. Personally, I'd like to see a strong midfield, maybe bringing in some younger legs to support the more experienced players. Our defence must be sharp and avoid any lapses in concentration. We have to make the most of any set-pieces or breakaway opportunities. Given the circumstances, I'd be content with a point from this fixture. Let's hope the lads put in a good shift.

"A Deserved Point" – Stuart Maynard on Notts County's Tough Draw with Morecambe
It’s frustrating to see another game marred by questionable refereeing decisions. The challenge on Abbott should have resulted in a red card, which might have changed the game's outcome. That said, I’m proud of how Notts handled the early setback. Conceding immediately could have been disastrous, but the character and resilience shown were commendable. Sam Austin’s pinpoint cross and Platt’s goal were definite highlights. Maynard’s strategies are working, and despite the draw, it feels like a victory given the context. We need to focus on our finishing in front of goal next.

Who is your Notts man of the match v Morecambe?
For me, Dan Crowley stood out. He made a few poor decisions, but he tried throughout the game to get us going. It’s unfortunate that some of the players were not on the same wavelength. David McGoldrick also played well.

Match Report: Notts County Held to a Frustrating 1-1 Draw at Morecambe
An overall frustrating game with some bright moments. We were slow off the blocks, allowing Morecambe to take an early lead which set the tone for the first half. The second half saw some positives with Platt's goal and a few close chances. McGoldrick and Crowley worked hard but lacked the final touch. Morecambe deserves credit for their defensive efforts, but we seriously need to be sharper upfront and avoid these scrappy matches. This draw feels like a missed opportunity for us. Let’s turn these lessons into wins.

Match Preview: Morecambe FC Seek Redemption as Notts County Push for Promotion
Really looking forward to seeing how Crowley performs against Morecambe. He’s been in brilliant form, pulling the strings in midfield, so his battle with Songo’o should be a good one. Morecambe’s winless streak makes me think we should win comfortably, but football’s never that simple, is it? They’ll be desperate for a result, so we need to avoid any sloppy mistakes and stay sharp from the start. A fast goal could really settle things in our favour.

Jacob Bedeau Reflects on Time at Morecambe and Looks Ahead to Notts County's Promotion Push
What stands out most about Jacob Bedeau is his humble approach to both his past and present clubs. His reflections on Morecambe highlight the importance of player development and the value of gaining experience at different levels. His seamless transition to Notts County indicates not just his skill but also his adaptability. With the way he has gelled with the team, particularly in defence, it’s clear we have a solid player on our hands. Jacob’s optimism about our promotion push is exactly what fans want to hear. This weekend’s match against Morecambe will be a test, but with Jacob at the back, I’m confident we can secure a win.

Opposition View: Mark Shore's "Get Out of Our Club" Message to Morecambe's Owner
It doesn’t sound good if they don’t know how much they can spend on players. Their owners made a mistake, which led to the embargo. It seems like they are in crisis. I wonder if life in League One stretched their limits? It’s not good for them.
